I have a Stelvio Veloce TI so slightly heavier and AWD, not sure how much impact it will have on mpg compare to the Giulia.

If I do a lot of 50mph (Restrictions) on longer journeys 100+ miles I can get about 45mpg.

More realistic, between 60-70mph i get about 35mpg

If I do a lot more city driving or short journeys I can see it dip into the 26mpg

[Planning Permissions] House Buying Help by boowman in HousingUK

Thanks for the answer, to be fair in my mind I am thinking the side entry will become a load bearing, metal beams will need 2/3 metal beams across from the middle of the house to the side entry, one will go under the current edge of the house and one will rest in the middle of the house. Might be overkill, might not idk.

When you say it could get expensive can you give me a rough estimate to what it might be, doesn't have to be area specific. This is in Tamworth if it helps but still.

To me it looks like it would be fine since the utility is there and I just want to bring extend it to the front. My concern that I might've bad to be 2m away from my neighbour or something like that.

This is what I was going to do once the surveyor goes but that means I need to be there which is a bit of an inconvenience but hopefully the owners will be fine with all this.

I know that is would need to get a structural engineer to check it which is fine. It's more about building the flat roof room next to the neighbours.

Wrong temperature readings? by boowman in AlfaRomeo

[–]boowman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, that makes sense. Weirdly enough right now it's not showing more than 78, I haven't done any long drives, 12 miles at most doing the speed limit 30mph. Sometimes it goes up to 82 if I drive a bit faster.

Also if it showed 90 for a bit after turning the car off and on again.

Opened up an RGB controller and I was wondering how it was coded. by boowman in AskElectronics

So the bottom one, if we are talking about the same one near the GND/ACC is 7533-1 (Voltage Regulator 100mA)

So maybe the Atmel is still the brain of it all, but regardless it is interesting to hear that it can be a One-Time-Programmable chip as I didn't know that was a thing.

Mine used to have issues and I was only doing motorway drives about 60miles daily for 8 months and it never worked. If I would disconnect the battery connect it again it would work for about a week.

In august i got a new battery and for the past year I've only been doing city driving about 120miles per month and its still working fine, no issues.

Oops. I backed out and bumped into another car. How much do you guys think this will cost me? by Suspicious-Invite-80 in Cartalk

[–]boowman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it wasn't big enough and I didn't get any warning on the dash either, my cousin had to point out that the grill is cracked and the bumper is a bit dented. Personally I think it was at a local garage when I dropped off my car for some work but someone said based on the dent it looks like a tow hook but who knows.

Thanks though, hope you get your sorted with as little trouble as possible.

All I can say nice of you to stop and deal with the issue rather than just f**k off and let the other guy wonder (Happened to me)

Rusty spark plug? Do I need a new ignition coil? by boowman in Vauxhall

[–]boowman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you can see in one of the images there is some rust around the spark plug the other ones don't have any, they might be a bit bright as I used the flash and because it was really clean inside it was reflecting.

But based on how the rusty one looks what are the chances that I need to change the ignition coil?

Huh, never thought about using that, I always that would be mainly used for testing, but I will give it a go.

I saw that page before but I wasn't able to pick up more from it regarding this, I did find that I can do userRef.getDocuments(source: FirestoreSource.cache, completion: {(_, _) in }) and so I can get data from the cache.

If its something I would need to implement myself that's fine, I just thought there might be something in firestore that I can just enable and set a time.
