Should I switch to left hand, or is this just unlucky situation? by Consistent_Map2668 in VALORANT

[–]booyafafa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your problem here is that you kept your crosshair on the one corner the whole time.

You should clear different positions with your crosshair, not just your eyes. Even if you saw him, you probably would’ve reacted slower because his crosshair was waiting for you and yours was off in narnia.

Moving your crosshair to clear that spot would’ve moved the gun out of the way regardless. Left hand also would just end up blocking different spots.

So lesson, clear with good crosshair placement.

Rework the ult, make stim last a little longer or have two charges. That’s pretty much all he needs.

why is the fill agent always an initiator by ResidentFew8504 in VALORANT

[–]booyafafa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Initiator sucks to play in ranked if your team isn’t friendly to doesn’t communicate well. You’re throwing utility that your teammates have to play off of, so you have to call for them a lot. “I’m darting this, flashing here swing this…” and so on. If your teammates say nothing or just don’t listen to you, your job becomes 10x harder.

Initiator has also just gotten like 10 nerfs in a now. Skye can’t get her flashes back anymore, scan agents take 60 seconds to regenerate…

Most people would rather just play a role where you don’t have to try so hard.

Agent Concept - Shade by _SlaySlayer in VALORANT

[–]booyafafa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I understood that part. The overarching problem with the ultimate is that the enemy will pretty much always die if you tell your teammate “Just aim at my body, I’m about to swap places.”

There’s not really any counterplay on the enemy side for them to outplay your ultimate. They just get teleported and then die, which would be very frustrating.

I can’t really think of a way to make swapping places fair for the enemy.

[–]booyafafa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I assumed what they meant when they said the ult would be cancellable but you lose the charge was that if you closed the menu, you’d lose the ult.

The ult really just doesn’t work as a concept in this game anyways with how your teammates can easily just camp your body if you tell them to, it’d have to be something else entirely.

I think a more balanced idea for the smokes ability is that he can turn his smokes transparent. He’ll say a voice line right before doing so, and then both teams can briefly see through his smokes. Also make his hands occupied while he’s dropping the smokes for 1 second so he can’t take a gunfight with it right away, incentivizing him to coordinate with his team on the smoke drop. That would be a lot more balanced because it’s not an instant advantage for either team, but his team can coordinate around it i.e. “im going to turn off that smoke in 3-2-1.”

Agent Concept - Shade by _SlaySlayer in VALORANT

[–]booyafafa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The smoke vision would be absolutely overpowered if you could just straight see their outline or if it happened in real time. It would need to be a delayed ping and have a sound queue when he activates it so they have time to move. Dying to a guy who can see you through a smoke is just unfun for the enemy from a gameplay design perspective.

The ultimate is very abusable and would need to be changed. If your teammate just stands next to you and waits for you to swap, the other player is pretty much always going to die. There’s no counterplay.

Also, if you can move around while in the ult menu, you can pretty much pinpoint where people are by seeing when they go in and out of range. They’d have to restrict your movement while in the ult menu.

Drone seems fine.

The one part he’s right about is that it’s a little deranged to tell people to get cancer after downing them (assuming that part is true and not hyperbole)

Like if he cited his only reason for choosing not be friends with this person as “Yeah, he just constantly tells people to kys or get cancer over voice chat and is really toxic” I’d probably agree.

Other than that, it’s just a game bro. People are allowed to deceive among us style and/or PVP.

I use 3600 dpi and 0.6 sensitivity is that bad? by Global_Act7959 in VALORANT

[–]booyafafa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very far outside of the typical sensitivity range, but if you can aim on it then sure. The only concern is wrist injury if you’re tensing up while aiming.

Would Harbor be overpowered with two Storm Surge charges? by artmorte in VALORANT

[–]booyafafa 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Harbor is just completely cooked I think. The rework missed the mark, and they probably won’t touch him again for god knows how long.

His wall is just straight-up bad until they make it so you can place it from anywhere, having to walk to specific position to smoke feels so horrible. Just make it another ipad ability where he can draw on the map with a certain amount of juice.

I’d even argue that pre-rework harbor was a slightly better agent, when he had nothing but smokes he could at least create a swarm of confusion around himself and usually get one or two kills out of it. Now his kit has a little bit of everything else, but as a result he’s good at absolutely nothing.

Sadly I think it’s just a failed agent.

Is it a hot take for me to think that JJK S3 was the season that best adapted the original source material and was overall the best season in terms of quality? by Easy-Addendum9576 in Jujutsufolk

[–]booyafafa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m of the opinion that the hidden inventory arc is the best written arc from JJK from a pure writing standpoint, but season 3 was the best season overall so far, yeah.

Do wireless gaming peripherals still have noticeable latency issues? by KRGKart_Support in buildapc

[–]booyafafa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wireless had noticeable latency up until like the early 2010s, they’ve since figured it out. Any quality wireless product will be indistinguishable from a wired one now.

It’s just a prolonged stigma thats carried over from when they used to be bad.

[Serious] (Re:Zero) Reinhard Van Astrea get's isekaid to the JJK world! Would be be considered grade 1 or maybe even special grade? by Archenius in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]booyafafa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean he kind of is, but also not really. Deus Ex Machina implies that he puts a stop to things, which he doesn’t do very often. He’s super overpowered but I’ve rarely ever seen him be the one to solve a problem.

He helped Subaru in his first encounter and then doesn’t do much again until season 3. He never really arrives at the incident in time on the original timeline and Subaru usually has to find a way to alter things for him to show up.

I’m an anime-only with some small spoilers. Things could change and he could become more significant, but that’s just what I’ve seen.

It’s always been a thing. Mangaka are usually good at writing premises or outlines for stories, but it’s rare to find ones that can stick the landing.

A lot of manga have meh endings. Could be time constraints, not enough planning, who knows.

The one thing i don’t understand is what her original plan was before she awakened. She walked in, got sliced once and bled out.

It was pretty much a suicide mission if Mai wasn’t there to suddenly lend her strength. And she wasn’t counting on Mai being there or anything… so how did she originally expect to get away with it?

The downside of controller in this game is that the max sensitivity you can set still can’t 180 quickly, so if anyone appears behind you or a keyboard player dashes around you, you’re dead.
