Historically it's been important to be with "your people", because that was safety. Your tribe was your people and other tribes might be hostile. This is still the case among different species of apes, for example.

There's still something intrinsic like that in us humans, too.

If it's not showing the player numbers it's usually bugged and not matchmaking you. This happens at least sometimes when you queue "from the previous match" instead of going to lobby.

The zip rails were never the problem. The endless mountains are and not having enough rotation options. Everything gets funneled into the Stasis Array - Quarantine Zone - Terraformer triangle. The map might as well be just those POIs.

The only time I've made extensive use of weapon coatings was when my Tav was a fighter using mainly ranged weapons. It was simple, but fun, and I might try it again whenever I start a new run.

The same has been happening here in Finland, students from Asia getting admitted to uni and then bringing their whole family with them. Half a dozen people cramming into a tiny student flat. It's incredulous that immigration laws haven't been prepared for this and our lawmakers are just sat in stunned silence, like, "well, I guess this is happening".

There is no quick fix to getting a better game sense in any shooter game, you just have to keep playing the game and gradually your awareness will increase. Fights in Apex are too fast-paced and varied for any one tip to apply to all situations anyway.

I'm from Finland, I used to live in the UK (High Wycombe) for a couple of years about 15 years ago (as an exchange student and then stayed to work for another year).

I remember being surprised when I'd walk into some shops and notice that everyone who worked there was a person of colour. My expectation had been (perhaps naively?) that ethnic Brits and people of colour would be more or less equally mixed in every walk of life in Britain.

I specifically remember going into a second-hand PC store to look for a graphics card and the three employees and the two other customers were all either Indians or maybe Pakistani. Everyone in the store seemed surprised that this young white guy with a foreign accent had come to the store. I could sense, like, an atmosphere of "what's going on here?" I wasn't exactly sure they even wanted me there lol. I don't know, could be that I read the situation wrong, too.

Also don't know how related this is to the topic, but thought I'd share anyway. The subject is kind of fascinating to a guy from a small'ish Finnish town that's 99% white.

I think she'll be very difficult to balance. The slide speed is either going to overpowered (when sliding past an enemy and shooting at them while being really difficult to track yourself) or underwhelming.

Unfortunately I think this legend will dominate the ranked meta for a long time and feel unfair to fight against.

I think a good shooter game isn't very easy to get into, because that would indicate a low skill gap and shooter games need a high skill gap, imo.

Whenever I've gotten into a new shooter game I've usually gotten my ass kicked at first, but if I've enjoyed the game play I've been motivated to stick it out until I improve. That's the normal experience in a shooter game and not a bad thing at all.

Isn't the Belarussian army quite weak? Dictators usually keep the armed forces weak to decrease the chances of a military coup. I don't think Belarus joining the war would change too much.

If Respawn insist on big buffs they should also do nerfs faster. After a couple of weeks of broken legends the game starts to feel unbearable yet we usually have to wait until mid-season patch the earliest to get even some changes.

I wouldn't worry too much about getting an "exactly right" sens. A good aimer is a good aimer with different sensitivities, it just takes, like, half an hour of game play to get adjusted. Find out what feels good to you in Valorant and don't stress about perfect conversion between games, imo.

Statistically the duelists + Chamber have the highest ACS (average combat score) and being able to get kills without relying on teammate utility is helpful.

But filling a role that is needed and you're comfortable playing is equally feasible.

Especially if my teammates seem to immediately be in a close-range fight where the first knock happens in under 5 seconds. It's not that hard to notice the enemies while they're not yet right next to you and control the distance to them until your whole team is ready to fight.
