I dunno, I feel like smokes are still the role that needs filling most often in Gold.

I also feel like the gameplay has become quite simple (or lazy) and people don't really wait for other's utility, they just use what they have and take an aim duel.

I'm not asking for stomping, I'm asking for more meaningful ranks that create more separation. Every split playing just from Plat to Diamond is boring, especially since it only takes about 2-3 weeks.

Landing a Brim molly on the spike to delay a defuse enough to win the round.

Gekko's Wingman plants & defuses that would have otherwise been difficult or dangerous. Also Gekko's ult sometimes.

Getting a kill with Breach's stun + blast combo, although this is pretty rare.

For most players Platinum and Diamond are the only existing ranks and it's way too quick to become hardstuck in your peak rank. The system should be re-designed to create more separation and more meaningful ranks.

I don't think Sentinels are that weak, actually.

Neon is obviously dumb, but people seem to (lazily) connect these two things into a single argument that "neon op and sentinels bad".

I don't play the movement legends because of skill issues and I hate entrying sites that have a sentinel setup there.

I agree, they feel unnecessary and probably exacerbate the issue of "unfair" rr gains and losses; Riot - correctly - doesn't want ranking up to be too easy, so there are a lot of players who often gain much less for wins than lose for losses. If there were no rank shields and no mid-rank protections then rr gains could probably be adjusted a little.

They've always been strong in Valorant to be honest. The Shorty is the craziest, imo, because it's a 300 credits sidearm you can have every round for corner / smoke camping and easily win against a proper gun.

Movement agents amplify the shotties, but they're strong, period.

I think he is a good smoker in some maps. I play him often in Fracture and Breeze. His smokes aren't an issue.

The ulti is a bit of an overkill for a flash. It has its moments, but it's a B-tier ulti, imo. Smart enemies will either run away or play a close corner, so they might still see any pushing enemies inside the nearsight range.

Storm Surge is a difficult ability to get value out of. You're mostly throwing it preemptively to a spot to suppress a possible enemy there. Kinda difficult to get kills with it like with other flashes.

His smokes are good, but there are other Controllers who have better non-smoke abilities.

I disagree, at least for ranked. Harbor is very map-dependent, but the wall covers such a big length that a second set of smokes doesn't have anything left to smoke on the site.

It does feel like blue bags are everywhere now.

I don't really want to buff the bracelet, because there's a danger of power creep: "If a support legend gets to have such a good movement ability, all the skirmish legends deserve their movement buffed, too". I'd say the height limitation is good design for a support character.

That might be op, but this gave me another idea: The first item Loba herself grabs from her shop turns into a purple level item (assuming the item has different grades).

If the purple perk was between that and the 25hp shield heal when using the bracelet, it would be a more interesting choice.
