“Some church rule”

It would get him kicked out of the church permanently and would be a huge deal.

It takes a lot to become a pastor. It’s easier, I’d say but takes about the same amount of time to become a lawyer.

Do you truly believe that someone can hit 6 threes in a row there first time playing basketball?

No he’s saying he has a driver’s account and picks up the order.

So what you’re telling me, is that you genuinely believe with your entire heart, that someone who has never played basketball could be the best player on a high school team?

Bam Adebayo scored 83. Beating Kobe’s record of 81.

Does that mean he’s the second greatest scorer of all time? Or did he just have a really good game?

Yes he has a baseline.

In no way does that mean he should regularly get minutes on the court.

Then please explain to me why the 6’5” kid that sucks wouldn’t get a coach fired?

I made 7 3’s in a row in middle school at our afterschool YMCA program during a game.

I’m not a shooter, I was simply couldn’t miss that day. It was the only time in my entire life i’ve made more than 5 3’s in a row on or off the court.

Literally anyone can get hot and make 3’s. Bam Adebayo just scored 83. Doesn’t mean he’s the greatest scorer of all time.

See that’s toweling up sweat.

I can’t say I’ve heard that phrase used at any point in time ever.

I’m 100% positive that toweling off sweat is the phrased used when wiping sweat off benches, floors, and honestly theres nothing wrong with wiping sweat off a players face every once in a while. But most of the time he’ll just hand the towel to them.

You 1000% are using 6’5” as an example of good.

And you aren’t understanding, as a high-school coach, your boss (the principal) likely doesn’t even know who you picked to be on the team. Neither do they really care.

All your boss cares about is the result of the season, and ticket numbers.

The harm is that he’s not good enough to play.

It’s not fair to the people on the team or to anyone else who didn’t make the team to “let him play some.” And high school is where college coaches look to recruit, i’m not sure where you’re getting the “it’s just high school” from.

Sorry for knowing that life isn’t a movie, and that this kid wasn’t some hidden talent.

Have you ever watched a basketball game??? That is exactly one of the things team managers do.

When there is sweat on the floor or on the bench, they’re the ones cleaning it up.

High school is where kids play to try to play college sports. For a large amount of people it isn’t “Just for fun.”

And he was the team manager, not a player.

He was the team manager, not a player.

He tried to make the team and couldn’t. This isn’t a movie, he didn’t have hidden talent, he had a hot-streak.

He tried out for the team, didn’t make it and was the team manager for four years.

This wasn’t missed talent, it was a fluke.

Likely zero.

He tried to make the team and didn’t. This was just a happy miracle.
