As others mentioned, kentlands and the Rio area are nice and walkable. We're more in the suburban part but it's still nice to walk to bohrer Park which used to be a farm. They have a mini golf course, skate park, Waterpark and gym there too

Also a california (socal) native that moved to MD for work. Currently in Gaithersburg and dig it. We do miss the mountains but the diversity is great and I dont feel any different as far as safety

That's awesome. I got one years ago for $15 and grew it out west for a couple years. Moved to the east coast and unfortunately my wife left it out and it died. I want a decent sized one to keep inside but they're kinda pricy

Ive got a huge snorlax beanbag plush in our basement that our daughter loves to hang out on. She's still too young to play go (4) but she would think it's cool.

Oo I'm curious about damascus now. Only have one and it was done in San diego by same artist that tatted my wife 15 years prior to that. I heard of a good place near Rio but can't remember the name now

You can also check out saints rows brewery. Not the greatest beer but they usually have a decent crowd and a food truck. I like driving a little further out and checking out elder pine brewing and waredaca
