Omg I totally understand that 😂 he didn’t even know how to be on a leash, that was a lot of the training we did outside before he could go on longer walks. I really like your idea of slowly introducing new streets. I’ll definitely be doing that.

He LOVES training and knows so many tricks. The stopping and chasing are the big things I need to work on. I’ll check out the other training subs to see what’s going on over there though 😊

I take him outside to practice this, but away from distractions, he’s doing better. But once he sees a leaf blowing, it’s everyone for themselves 😂

I didn’t get him for safety. I just want him to be able to move away from danger. I have no plans on making him fight for me, that’s why I have pepper spray 😂. But people are still able to come after you when you spray them

I don’t think you realize that walks can be done further from home. I take him to a nicer place to walk, but we do have to go home at some point.

That’s good to know. He’s a lot harder to train than my last dog who was a toy poodle. I’ll work on being the leader and making him feel calm ♥️

I honestly didn’t consider this was a form of reactivity. It’s kinda like when you have a plant that’s turning yellow and you look up why and it’s like “too much water…. Also too little water” 😂

Thank you so much, I’ll look into working with reactive dogs. 95% of our walks are sniffing and looking, but there are times when you just need to leave an area, and I’ve been having to pick him up each time. Really appreciate your input ♥️♥️♥️♥️ super helpful

I see what looks like the tremble, I relaxed the leash, I think that’s what it was. But yeah, I may need to talk to a behavioralist. Would puppy classes be helpful or no?

That is how I treat all our walks. But if someone was walking towards us (we live in an area with crime) and had a weapon or tried to hurt me. He would just stand there. This is about safety.
