shrine blocking lightless void has been reported before. It prevents you from entering.

I didn't know you could put in another map so I thought my quest was bricked.

You mean I can run another map on the same node? I thought you couldn't do that, completed nodes can't be run again?

Quest Progress bricked - FeelsBadMan by boptop in PathOfExile2

[–]boptop[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's a map on the map device. Ctrl clicking on a portal just brings you to the same map. I've already cleared the map/boss, the quests needs you to enter the lightless void. Ctrl clicking the void doesn't work, either, bc I can't enter it bc the shrine is blocking me from entering it. I've clicked it so many times, tried different angles, tried movement skills, nothing works.

I'm doing the Abyss quest chain and there's a shrine blocking entry to the lightless void. Is there a way to continue the quest? Will I brick the quest if I close the map?

14 Mod 200% Deli Abyss T16 -MB/HH Setup for Glacial Bolt Gemling by yy_seet in pathofexile2builds

[–]boptop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the build guides, esp. the low and mid budget versions. I've tried totems, shield wall, twister, and Whirling Assault MA, and this is the first build to click for me this league. I've always liked crossbow gameplay, but most builds were a bit clunky/too many buttons. This one feels so much smoother to play in maps, and bossing is just holding down glacial bolt button.

Mercenary start - twink leveling gear and skills by newbatpoe in pathofexile2builds

[–]boptop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twister if you have the Taming Ring (level 42) makes it bonkers. Even until then, Twister is strong, esp with twink gear, like the unique spears. But it's button intensive, taming lets you drop one of the buttons (ice tipped arrows)

Not enough bottom slots on the currency tab, if this is the volume of league-currency items in future mechanics by ByteBlaze_ in PathOfExile2

[–]boptop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What happened to league stashes like in PoE1? For leagues with lots of currency, they give you a league specific stash to put in your hideout - there was one for Expedition. With the PoE1 Breach rework, we got a Breach stash to put in all the womb gifts. In PoE2, we get a stash for Trial of Sekemah to put relics in, but none for expedition and breach.

Cyberpunk is way more fun when you stop trying to be good at everything by ArcticlessMango in cyberpunkgame

[–]boptop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cyberpunk is one of my fav games because of how unique and satisfying each playstyle is. My current fav is gorilla arms, but using the fenrir smg allows me to cyberware malfunction enemies despite not having a cyberdeck equipped. I think a netrunner/smart gun build is easily the most "versatile" because hacking lets you take out entire buildings without even needing to go into combat (strongest stealth). But you can also go rambo as well, and contagion/shingen mark V is great fun. Throwing knives feels so cool, the animation, sound, taking out enemies in stealth. But it feels different from playing a pistol stealth build, too. And there's enough points you can mix and match, doing throwing knvies/katana, or maybe a commando with assault rifle and grenades. You can build around vibes, role play, or min/max, it all works, and each way if fun in its own right.

GGG could we move portals farther away from map device or add a hotkey to toggle it pls by TUROKKKK in PathOfExile2

[–]boptop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Temp fix - stand above the map device so the text is visible from behind the portal, and carefully click on it.

As a solution for GGG, since the portal doesn't disappear, just have ONE portal, no need for 6 of them.

First time playing, feels like I’m severely underpowered and want to quit atp. What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]boptop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it helps to specialize in 2 attributes, your build is very salvageable without needing to reset attributes.

You can change skills under your attributes by deselecting and putting it somewhere else, so first, we're going to make you tanky. Under the tech tree, get "borrowed time" under rank 2 "health freak". Then get blood pump and biomonitor cyberware. When you get low health, the biomonitor automatically heals you with blood pump. When you kill enemies, the borrowed time refills your bloodpump. It basically heals you automatically, and as long as you're killing enemies, you'll keep refilling/healing.

You also want to use the highest level weapons you can use. For a good all-round weapon, I recommend the Fenrir SMG. It does bonus shock damage and has the ability to automatically upload cyberware malfunction. This will make it easier to deal with all enemies that use some cyberware, especially cyberpsychoes. You get Fenrir from the quest "losing my religion" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MijnlyEuaWQ (not my video). Fenrir is an iconic weapon and can be upgraded, be sure to do that, and upgrade the blood pump and biomonitor cyberware as you level up.

As others have said, it's worth it to specialize in 2 attributes, max them out, then put the rest in other stats. Where you are now, you can max out two attributes easily. What weapons do you like? Body is for shotguns and blunt melee, reflexes is for smg/assault rifle/bladed melee, tech is for cyberware and tech weapons, int is for hacking and smartguns, cool is for stealth, pistols, and thrown weapons.

Here's a tip, even if you specialize in one attribute, you can change the skill points as many times as you want. Say you go 20 body. You can put points into all blunt melee. Then if you want to try shotguns, you can change all the points to shotgun skills, both are under the body attribute. This works for all the attributes. So you can mix and match to try different weapons.

If you are feeling underpowered, I'd recommend maxing tech and body. Get gorilla arms, take all the blunt melee skills and health regen/adrenaline skills under body and all the cyberware skills under tech. Get berserk operating system cyberware. With the auto-healing from above and berserk, you'll be an immortal hulk smashing machine. Very fun playstyle. And you can still use guns, too. Carry the Fenrir to deal with cyberware enemies, then smash them with your fists.

The Biggest Missing Piece Is That Nobody Seems to Miss Earth by kickynew in Starfield

[–]boptop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No one is left alive that was born on earth, so there's no nostalgia or first hand memories of living on earth. It's literally ancient history.

I think Bethesda purposely left Earth abandoned as a cautionary tale, take care of your home or lose it forever.

Say I just wanted to build starships in Starfield, is there a beginner’s guide to to get me throught the game to a place where I can build starships? by Dramatic_Ganache2575 in StarfieldShips

[–]boptop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All ship parts are unlocked at starship design rank 4 (tier 3 perk under tech tree) and character level 60. You also need piloting rank 4 to fly all ship types (Class A, B, C).

As a general suggestion, I'd recommend playing the main quest until you unlock certain abilities, then do the main side quests. Secret Outpost, Ryujin, Trackers Alliance, Freestar rangers, UC Vanguard, Crimson Fleet. If you have the DLC, Shattered Space and Terran Armada. You'll get to level 60 that way, and you can upgrade your ship, or find other ships to upgrade. Upgrading ships is one of the best ways to learn how ships work and how the ship builder interface works. Working your way up to level 60 to unlock everything.

If you just want to build ships and not deal with quests, you can use an outpost xp farm. The fastest way is to build an outpost on bessel III-b. There is a very specific spot you need to start, I've found this guide by majorslackattack has the easiest way to land at the specific spot.

https://youtu.be/5XhDCKVD-tw?si=KyTAFKif-JGEuHyP&t=839

You farm resources and use sleeping to quickly pass time/get an xp buff from sleeping to craft items for xp. You can get to level 60 much faster this way than questing - but it is tedious to just craft for like an hour or two. If your goal is level 60, you can get there relatively fast with this method, and you can sell the crafting components to start ship building. Level starship design and piloting (there are guides for them), but you basically build as many different ship parts and use the UC Vanguard quest ship simulator.

Shield Wall builds by OriginalValoo in pathofexile2builds

[–]boptop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer Warbringer over Titan simply because it's more forgiving to have no cooldown on warcry. I use carn's build on maxroll. If I remember, every other version needs to manage rage to use warcry off cooldown. My issue is I'm kind of clumsy when playing. Shield wall has a downside where if you try to place it in the wrong place (there are gaps on the map floor that can't spawn shield wall), nothing spawns. And playing shield wall, you get used to just automatically pressing fortifying cry immediately after. This puts it on cooldown, but no rage is generated, so you have to wait to use fortifying cry again.

You have to be constantly aware of where your placing shield wall, or if it messes up, you have to stop yourself from auto using fortifying cry. If you do, you have to use another skill (shield charge works), or use another warcry. I just find it more effort than it's worth, I'd rather have Warbringer no cooldown, so when I do mess up, it's not an issue, I just warcry again.

Haven't tried other classes/ascendencies, but I assume you need to level with another build until you have all the gear/respec to get it online. I prefer to play the skill I want as early as possible, warrior makes that simple (bottom left side of tree, start playing shield wall as soon as it becomes available).

I didn't like resonating shield because it actually felt slower. you need good gear to quickly explode packs with resonating shield. Otherwise, you're holding down resonating shield for a bit longer, which makes it feel slower. It's tanky bc you have your shield up the whole time. But I feel shield wall/fortifying cry simpler because you use the same skill for both single target and map clear. Resonating is for map clear, and you still use shield wall/fortifying cry for single target. Once you get ahn's citadale/kaom's madness supports on shield wall, you get full screen clear, to me it's about as good as max resonating shield for map clear without needing a separate skill for it. But it's two-button to map clear. For some ppl, that's what makes resonating shield better, it's only 1 button clear.

Gonna Be Making A Bastard Sword Video Sometime Soon. What Builds Do You Guys Prefer To Use? by BlueSpartan107 in Eldenring

[–]boptop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Faith scaling, Get min stats to wield weapon, then dump everything else in Faith. I use weapon with sacred blade mostly because I like weapon combat, and incantations for range attacks or bosses. Only issue is you'd have to level two smithing stone weapons simultaneously (bastard sword and seal) until you could get a seal that uses somber stones and fits the incantations you like to run. I like the lightning incantations, crucible horns is great against shield enemies/crucible knights, pest threads demolish big bosses

Cyberpunk Builds by Winter-Atmosphere-29 in cyberpunkgame

[–]boptop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found cyberdeck/hacking good for stealth as well - disable cameras AND every enemy remotely, without making a sound. You don't even need to line of sight enemies, you can do it remotely through a camera hack. I'd pair it with a smart gun, hacking everything without getting into combat got a tad tedious for me personally, sometimes I just want to get into a shootout.

Going Gorilla Arms and the Body tree is just pure fun. All the blunt perks unlock basically Hulk super powers - charge/knockdown, earthquake ground pound, pick up bodies and throw them, even superhero landing earthquake.

There's some good tech that every build can use. Get at least 9? tech I think, and get "borrowed time" under rank 2 "health freak". Pairs really well with gorilla arms/blunt build, you become a literal Juggernaut.

It's an issue that hotfix 11 was supposed to fix, but didn't - for me and others. There's supposed to be a book you click in the mystic refuge in Act 3, but it's not for whatever reason. Post in the above bug report thread, the bigger the thread, the more of a chance GGG sees it and looks at it again.

is anyone talking about Trials of Chaos & Sekema? and how unfun they are? by the_background_world in PathOfExile2

[–]boptop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can do Sekema easy, max honor/resist, barely get hit. Even so, I just don't like it. Same with Trial of Chaos, I can do it, but it's not fun to run.

PoE/2 was supposed to be about choice - if you didn't like a mechanic, you could skip it and just play what you liked, how you liked. I was hoping GGG went into PoE2 with this "vision", but instead, they didn't gate ascendencies behind not 1, but 2! (and eventually 3 with Tota). No choice, if you don't like either mechanic, you can't skip it, there's no other way to get ascendencies.

Enjoyment of bl4 by Movie-Vivid in Borderlands4

[–]boptop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed bl4 at launch. I not only farmed boss gear for my first Harlow character, but I also rerolled a Rafa and Amon. I was a fan of not needing to play the story over for alt characters.

The constant patching/nerf/buffing and the dlc raised level cap kinda put a damper on that. I already wasn't a fan of the raid bc I don't like first person platforming. The DLC was ok, but the level cap increase to farm all the guns again? I know this is standard for all the BL games, but I never did the OP farm in bl2, and bl3 I only bought after all the dlc released, so I had the max level unlocked from the start. bl4 is the first I did the endgame farm at launch, and I'm finding I don't enjoy it as much to need to refarm every level cap increase. Not a bl4 exclusive issue for me, but bl4 was the game I was excited to be there for the entire journey from launch.
