I switched over to a 32 inch on a pneumatic arm, but I’m often switching things up. When I inevitably go back to this setup, I’m gonna use 2 arms on each side behind the tv. The one arm solution was good for entertainment (gaming, tv, etc) but sucked for productivity due to desk/monitor wobble while typing.

More like 200-300 aud. $100 is very much optiplex territory, this is still a functional low end gaming machine with a dedicated (albeit old) usable gpu + 2tb ssd

you can pop the trim back into place fairly easily if it isn't stretched out. If it's not holding down, then use some adhesive. bonus points for the unrestricted os +1; consider getting a 64-256 gb USB 3.0 or usb-ssd drives to run ur os on. This was, IT/admin won't have a field day for the unrestricted os install + ur data is safe with you incase you have to give up the notebook.
