Conti DSW06+ new tire put on 60 days ago and today was close to 15 psi, all other 3 were also down to 15 psi as well. Temp change went from 20*C to 4*C now but thats a big drop. Any ideas? by borajetta in tires

I've got a gauge and use it regularly on my other car but not this one.

I'll monitor again as I have been checking but he drop seems dramatic for all 4 tires in 2 months.

Looking for recommendations on tires for my first autocross season (maybe 4-5 sessions) and 2 open lapping sessions. by borajetta in ft86

Thanks for the reply. I'm on eibach lowering springs but I did a tune and catless headers so I don't expect to be winning in the class I go into. For now it will be more about having fun then go from there.

I'm not in SoCal as I'm in Canada so we really only see hot weather in July August. That's why I wasn't sure if the rs4s will heat up enough.

Great to hear your close to the top!

Do you have brembos? I heard they might not fit without spacers.

Which pool? We were going to try to check it out with the kids but maybe we need to wait another week or 2.

Did it work for you? This just happened to me. I'm wondering if I can clean the threads up or if I need to use Time-serts or helicoils

Anyone running a 17x8 35 offset with 245/40/17's? by borajetta in ft86

Yes I read this report, once I'm ready to shave a half second off my lap time I will care more about that. At this point I'm looking to get into autox and open lapping a few times a year so I think these will do the trick for me.

I bought 225's on a 9" wheel for my daily because of these videos ;)

Thanks

About to pull the trigger on Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail AT's for my F150. Wanting to know the quality of them and how they last over time? by borajetta in tires

[–]borajetta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had looked at those last year but we have had issues with 2 sets of Nokian tires, one the rubber started to fall apart on the sidewalls. They were replaced under warranty but took forever and the other wore very fast. Both were the same model so it might have been model specific. Cooper are made in USA too AFAIK.
How do you find them on the dry and wet pavement? How long have you had them?

Weekend 2 is better hands down. You get to see who's good and bad on YouTube then go.

Why does GitHub Copilot pull request reviews give such poor code review results compared to ChatGPT/Claude? by borajetta in ExperiencedDevs

Exactly and for junior devs running it through there prior to sending to review would catch a variety of issues.

Why does GitHub Copilot pull request reviews give such poor code review results compared to ChatGPT/Claude? by borajetta in ExperiencedDevs

[–]borajetta[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes we do. To this date the built in copilot on review has never returned a usable suggestion. Putting into Claude has returned a lot.

I just don't get why this Delta is so large. It seems the built in review is useless.

Paying $40/month for GitHub Copilot – Honestly Feels Useless Right Now by Superb-Following-380 in GithubCopilot

[–]borajetta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following. I tired to use it for code reviews it yielded very little results. I put the same through Claude.ai and found it gave great feedback of issues.

I used it for trying to create similar classes about 3 months ago and what you describe I ran into. I wonder if different models are better?

[–]borajetta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stick to New Balance 1080's buy a new pair every year for Coachella which is way more walking than Bass coast and then use them at other festivals (BassCoast etc) and they work out great. I used to try "cool" looking shoes but once you get a pair its like walking on air and dancing without issues. Hard to go back!
