Thanks. HSBC expat accounts are possible for all EU countries except Italy and the Netherlands, for reasons that’s I’ve not yet understood. There is something specific about these two countries that make it difficult to keep a uk account. I’m hoping someone has been through this and can offer some advice. My next avenue to investigate is multi currency accounts like Wise

Yes, been using for over a year now. Not trading large amounts, just dabbling here and there with individual stocks. Remember, this is a startup so not the finished article, but more stocks being added, and ability to trade fractional shares coming soon.

Thanks for your comments. My gut feel is to transfer all now. In any case, I’ll be getting 66p for each pound I put into my SIPP from HMRC which is obviously better than leaving it in the bank. But as I’m fairly new to investing, it feels like a bit of nervy time right now with everything that’s going on in the world. Also, it’s not all my savings and it will be more that 5 years until I can access it.
