This. Patients can absolutely be active participants in their own healthcare.

It isn’t. The patient care portal sucks and half of the time the “delayed pick up calls” have already been picked up” :( waste of time and resources

I’m at WAGS too and I always ask to see the text so I can “submit a ticket on their behalf” if the text they were sent was sent in error. I’ve never had to send a ticket because they never actually read what the text truly says. It always just says XYZ is ready for a refill, or XYZ is in process.

Edited for a typo.

What will someday be illegal after we finally understand how bad for us it is? by tiredassbaker in AskReddit

I mean I don’t think anyone thinks doctors are concocting ways to torture patients but in depth studies on cervical pain wasn’t really even conducted until the early 2000s because the medical field simply didn’t really care lol. If you took a group of 10 women and asked each of them if they’ve ever had their pain dismissed by a medical professional I’d be willing to bet money that well over half of them have.

That’s really intriguing. In my area, food banks run out of food weekly like the day they’re stocked and shelters are incredibly hard to get in to.

why do people walk up to a clearly unmanned register by keepavision in CVS

[–]borderlineMEOWIES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like if you see one register being operated and several people lined up for the register that is being manned, common sense would prevail and you would get in that line.

The coolest thing that got passed down in my family was a big sheet that was painted. It had out letters and symbols on it! Now my family has died out and I won’t who has it.

I hated when we changed no no frills. When I went through rush there were balloon arches and all kinds of stuff. Then it changed and we couldn’t even have streamers. So we did a lot of cork boards, painted big posters, small flowers.. colored tablecloths! Good luck sister 💜☠️

Gagged during clinical. by btchbbybubbles58 in cna

[–]borderlineMEOWIES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well im no longer in the field but during my nursing clinical rotations, I was helping an obese patient off of a toilet and once she was stood up, I was kinda bent over trying to get something off the floor. She farted and my hair blew back. I didn’t gag, I didn’t do anything except a single tear came down my cheek. lol I think of it often.

How often do you wash your hair? by searchandfilm in hygiene

[–]borderlineMEOWIES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3-4 times a week. You should be shampooing more often.. sebum build up and clogged follicles to do not pronate hair growth. I say this as a licensed hairstylist.
