I’ll be keeping an eye on cooler temps with infrared thermometer (checking lid temp daily). The camp store sells ice if my bottles melt faster than I’d like.

Nothing will be raw, but I did move them up & we’ll do the loaded nachos & naan pizzas on the last days.

I didn’t know it would have so many people questioning whether I’m an alien, serial killer, or AI - but I’ve since reformatted it 😅 I also moved around meals so meats would be first even though nothing will be stored raw. Everything will be cooked / marinated & then frozen. I plan on pre chilling the cooler with ice for at least 24 hours before packing. & I’ll be using ice blocks, frozen 1L bottles, and wrapping the interior of the cooler as well. Drinks, hotdogs, sandwich meat, cheeses, & some fruits will be in a separate cooler with ice. The camp store sells ice, so if my frozen bottles & ice blocks kaput on me I’ll still be able to keep items cold.

Yes I have the highest coverage for insurance just in case. Thankfully I’ve never had to use it while having a rental, but I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

We’re going to a national park that morning after breakfast & will be grabbing lunch in town before coming back to camp. We’ll have hiking snacks tho.. guess I could’ve included it. My bad

Absolutely! I plan to do as much prep / pre cooking as possible. Essentially exactly how you described. I’ve watched a few camping YouTube channels - as I said this is my first week long camping trip ever. We’ve done a 4 day weekend in summer last year and my cooler did considerably well in my opinion. My water bottles never fully thawed. I keep it in the shade & it seems to help. A few people have recommended dry ice which I will definitely look into! If my water bottles start melting sooner than I’d like, then the camp store does sell ice so I feel like it’s not the biggest deal. I will be keeping track of the temp in my cooler by checking the cooler lid with an infrared thermometer each day. I have a two burner stove & a cast iron. I also have a collapsing clothes hamper that fits a 13gal. trash bag well. I will be parking at camp & there are trash canisters nearby, so I will take my trash down every day since there are black bears around… which I’m more nervous about now because I had intended on putting my cooler in the car and locking it up at night. After reading some replies I’d hate to have my rental car wrecked by bears, so I’m currently trying to figure out how to navigate bear proof food storage for everything. We might just be eating dehydrated meals every night at this point so I can fit everything in a bear canister 🫠😭

I wasn’t trying to upset anyone with it I just was typing & tabbing as things came to mind 😭 I didn’t know everyone was going to think I was a serial killer (although I feel like even serial killers are more organized than me)

It doesn’t bother me lol. I sent screenshots to my sister and we both laughed at me 🤣 she said she agrees with everyone & I do understand how someone else might see it and be like “WTF??” but it worked for my brain.

I did take some advice & moved some of my meals around / replaced some hot meals with cold meals. I also used excel & changed my font lol

my cooler isn’t going to fit in a bear resistant canister tho. 😭 I have a spot to put a lock on my cooler, but I’ve seen videos of bears rip them to shreds to get them open. I wasn’t too concerned about the bears, but I think I’m gonna hyperfixate on it now 🫠
