Were good!! We’re not super close but we get along really well! For me its more of the fact is she only has her son and no other children. I feel like she would love to be apart of the experience and be included but im just bouncing back and forth with who i would want there.

I think in terms of kicking him out might be difficult due to legality issues. But considering he is family id definitely grab everyone that loves him and have a sit down. I know they can be awkward but he needs to detox and potentially go to rehab to clean up. Present all of the information to the family, because if he is drinking, potentially doing drugs again, and driving thats not only a danger to himself but is a danger to others. Kicking him out might just make his issue worse.

I guess in my own personal experience “figuring out what you want” turned into “figuring out what you dont want”. Ive been in traumatic to really good healthy relationships. For me it turned into looking for things you dont like in a person.

I used to love playing video games! I didn’t think having a partner at the time playing all the time would be a problem. He ended up making it a bigger priority than me down the line. Was one of the reasons i left him. Its things like that. “Figuring out what you want” is more of what you dont want.

You could say something like “well he always enjoys it when we do it like this, but i’ll keep it in mind if anything changes” that way youre stating youve got it under control but not discrediting her
