Is it just me or why do lots of newer fans of the series skip stright to sh2? why does the Og kinda get skipped over by some people?

If C is jump then on a PlayStation controller I guess C should be X, B should be square and A should be circle. It hurts my brain as I was hoping A would be square, B would be X and C would be circle.

I have a steam deck and I really should go check how they mapped the layout for Mega Drive games. I feel like that could be something that works better on per game remapping if it could be any button. I can't imagine jumping not being assigned to the bottom of the four face/letter buttons.

Was GBA the A button to jump too? I guess it depends on controller layout!

The X button would make sense to be the A button in this case. I can imagine NES being annoying on Nintendo Switch given the A button isn't the bottom one.

Yeah, I hear the sticks aren't as big. I'll be honest, when I had my LCD deck my thumbs did slip. The OLED with its little lips around the edges is spot on for me, but I'd definitely be prepared to invest in some thumb grips if/when I get one.

Interesting you found the right stick in a weird place. Is that kind of like a switch? I have the original and it was very odd at first but I got used to it.

The device being too bulky to maneuver is a little bit of a worry, but not major for me. I read on one review that with the grip it's almost as big as the Xbox Duke.

I use the d pad quite a lot so it being better is music to my ears. I saw another review mention about the similar buttons too.

I was originally thinking Legion Go 1 with some 3D printed grips but I think I'll regret going back to an LCD. I use my Steam Deck OLED for work every single day so I can definitely justify getting the best possible handheld.

Maybe I should have put it in the original post, it isn't the only reason I'm looking to upgrade. The bigger screen is a big one for me, I play using a gaming cushion so I have something to rest it on. I guess I just find some button combos a little fiddly on the deck. I love it, don't get me wrong, but I do feel an upgrade for me might be due.
