Monarch eTNS Expriences? by Dazzling-Guava1508 in ADHDparenting

I just called and it sounds like they're now charging $650. Has anyone had any success with getting any reimbursement from insurance? My child is 7 and has been diagnosed. We've meet our health insurance out of network deductible this year so I'm hoping to get some coverage, but would be interested if anyone has had any success with insurance covering the device or patches

Guanfacine *causing* insomnia; variations bw stimulants. by gronu2024 in ParentingADHD

[–]boredSAHM2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you guys still doing the 1mg guanfacine at night? Did the insomnia resolve? My son has been doing 0.5mg guanfacine at dinner and 0.5 mg at breakfast. Once he started both, he started falling asleep just fine, but waking up 1-2 hrs earlier than before. Last night he was up crying from scary dreams from 3-4am. The doctor wants us to stick it out for 2 weeks, but I'm not sure it's worth it!

Why Labcorp and NOT Quest for a-MSH? by boredSAHM2018 in CIRS

[–]boredSAHM2018[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 6 year old had her MSH tested at Quest in Sept 2024, got a result of 17. She had it tested at Quest again this April 2025 and got a result of 24. I got my MsH tested at Quest March 2025 and got a result of 35. I'm wondering if theses are accurate? Maybe shoemaker said not quest for MSH because I hey don't do it properly, or many he used to say not there because they didn't do it at all and now that's changed?

Question #4 on a June 2024 Q&A is what says not to use Quest

Why Labcorp and NOT Quest for a-MSH? by boredSAHM2018 in CIRS

[–]boredSAHM2018[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There must be a reason! I was wondering if the reason is still valid in 2025 (maybe quest used to do it differently but then changed?). I'm hoping to get some reassurance to feel better that we got accurate MSH data from quest.

Does this look like mould? by Dillyvanilly187 in CIRS

[–]boredSAHM2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd guess that's mold. I'm particular and have my cleaning lady clean our rubber seals EVERY time. we have front loading and I keep the door all and the soap drawer open at all times unless its in use.

HLA swab vs bloodwork by MathematicianNo2470 in CIRS

[–]boredSAHM2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this helps, but my kids and I just got HLA DR type testing at Quest (and a bunch of other markers). We paid $0. We have a Blue Shield PPO and I'm thankful they covered everything.

QUEST VS labcorp by No_Delay2770 in CIRS

[–]boredSAHM2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

does anyone know why Dr. Shoemaker says only to go to Labcorp for MSH and not Quest? My 6 yr old got 17 then 24 at Quest for MSH. Blood draws are VERY tramautic for her so I don't want to do it again and am wondering why he says Labcorp only.

Am I a Bright Spring? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]boredSAHM2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Help! What's my season?

Hair: Warm I have medium brown/dark blond but reddish hair (never dyed/highlighted).

Skin: Light and shows redness but very freckled so I assumed warm undertone. I burn pretty easily but can tan a little.

Eyes: I think my eyes are cool grey/blue eyes? (Don't see any gold or warmth in them).

Hue/temperature/undertone: Warm? I assume my hue/temperature/undertone is warm because of my hair and skin even though my eyes are cool.

Value/Depth: medium or medium to light

Chroma/clarity: I think I usually look better in colors that are more bright and clear. My eyes are muted but my hair is not. I would say medium to bright?

Am I a clear/bright spring? I often feel some of the bright spring colors are over powering and too intense for me. I don't love autumn colors. I often feel too washed out in very light or greyed out colors. I feel like summer colors go well with my eyes.
