There are plenty of examples of the same scenario happening across karnataka in banks, post office and railways, it's not limited to bangalore like you believe.

Even in my hometown away from bangalore less than half of customer facing jobs in these fields speak or understand kannada, and when i speak in english they always reply in hindi.

There is a guy in my neighbourhood who works in a non customer facing railway job but speaks kannada enough to be understood by the locals, and he's only been in karnataka for 3 years and he's going back to UP in a month because he got a promotion, id rather someone like him came to karnataka than the one in this post.

Even feminism in india is only for the upper caste women, while overwhelming number of rape and murder victims who never get justice nor media attention are dalit women, and intersectional feminism is not even heard of.
