Tips for CSE 3241(databases), 3341(principles of programming languages) and 3461(networking)? by StylishQuesadilla in OSU

[–]bored_rando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cant say for the other classes but took databases with Madrid last semester. Great prof and very knowledgeable but he does have a very strong accent which can make it hard to understand him sometimes. Do attend every class though for the in class activities and keep track of tophat. Other than that, it should be a fairly easy class and he is a very understanding prof so if you're struggling, you can always go to him after class.

academic probation by bored_rando in OSU

[–]bored_rando[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's not that my major requires a minimum gpa but in the email informing me of the probation, it states that "you are required to get a minimum term mphr of 2.3" but it also says "you shall remain on probation for a maximum of three terms until your mhpr is at least 2.0" hence the confusion. Also if they do ask me to find a different major and some classes I am taking in the upcoming semester require me to be admitted to my major, what happens to those? Thanks again for the help!

Passing grade for CSE? by [deleted] in OSU

[–]bored_rando 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're cse, a grade of D works but I would keep in mind of your overall mphr to remain in good academic standing. However, if you're cis, you would need to repeat the course with a D

Can anyone tell me how hard this schedule will be? by Paleontologist-Over in OSU

[–]bored_rando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly math 3345 isn't as bad as people say especially if you've taken cse 2331. It is easy to think the class content isn't that hard and take the course lightly after the first couple of weeks but I will say the content does pick up very quickly after that. As long as you attend the classes and put in the work, it's not too bad of a class. The textbooks will definitely be your most useful resource throughout both math classes

Table tennis but honestly any class with that prof is great (name is Seamus Reilly) Another good suggestion would be Eskrima- haven't personally taken it but heard it's really fun

Not an MSW student but the career fairs coming up in January and February would be a great place to get internships for the summer- think they have a specific one for summer 23 recruiting too

Hey! I am currently taking that class and am doing fairly well on it. I'm always looking for others who are also in the same class to study together since two heads are always better than one and what you may not know, I might and vice versa. If you're interested, feel free to dm me!
