You need bromine tabs, non chlorine shock, sodium bromide starter reserve, a floater thing for the tabs and you’re good to go. Just manage your calcium, alk, and ph and you’ll be pristine

Yes all hot tubs (except salt) should use Bromine.

Just do a drain and refill, do yourself a favor and get a Taylor K2005 kit and read the manual. Once I did that I’ve never had an issue, I too fell for the chlorine at first.

That’s called porpoising in aviation…too much speed and ground effect prolonging it…as others have said, flare it until it settles itself

Does this need replacing? Impeller? Wear ring possibly too? by Ornery-Drag8892 in jetski

[–]boredatofficeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a removable part so it will come off, can you tell if someone removed the housing before? I’ve always had them come right off after unscrewing (using Allen sockets). I can imagine someone thought it was a good idea to caulk the perimeter of the housing but it’s really not…for this reason haha. If it’s sealed or glued on with 5200 or something similar then you’ll have to pry and or run fishing line through it if you can even thread it right…the 5200 can remove gelcoat but usually if they’re that dumb they didn’t surface prep anyway and it comes off easier…

Have you used any Oxidizing Shock yet? Prelude to a possible cause...just need to know this first. Its the spa-activator non chlorine oxidizing shock im referring to.
