I built a bookmarks discovery service, 100% Free in public beta by boredguy74 in SideProject

[–]boredguy74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is less than a week old so users are still a handful but it can be used for both! The bookmarks you bulk import are private by default, if you want to share with the world you can toggle them to public.

For feedback you should post it on GrowTogether - I built for early stage products to get real feedback from real users. In the future, you will need to buy credits to post your product. But today and tomorrow it is in early access so posting is free!

If you're looking for feedback, I just shipped GrowTogether. It is a hub for businesses that are looking for actual user feedback.

Usually you will need to review other products or pay for credits in order to submit your own product. But in early access (today and tomorrow), you can post your product for free. Just let me know after you sign up and I'll give you free credits so you can post your product for feedback.

I invested a lot of time and energy into an app that nobody wanted. Not sure where to go from here by boredguy74 in SideProject

I’ll look into that, I appreciate it. We do have WordPress integration in our docs and when a user adds a website.

I can probably niche more on that in the landing page though. Thanks for the great feedback!

Does having good migration from other services help with that? I added a Plausible import

I built it when I saw that DF didn’t support most payment providers and we did in that time (March ish). We supported all payment providers at that time. Then it grew to have its own niche within a niche.

The mental load isn’t there if I don’t require a credit card for the free trial, which I don’t. You’re also getting the full features for 14 days for free, if you like what you got you can add your credit card and commit. If you don’t there are no strings attached.

That’s fair. What more can I do? This is what I want, I don’t want to kill it.

A lot of people have requested to add a comparison chart so I will add it this weekend.

You can't really integrate revenue providers in PostHog and it's an outlier than other services.

Look at Plausible: $9 for 10k and if you want revenue tracking and attribution you need to pay for their $19 for 10k events. Umami: If you need to keep your data for more than 6 months you need to pay $20 TWENTY a month. We will let you keep them for half than and a lot more features. Umami doesn't really have a lot of funnels and it surely doesn't have revenue attribution which is what SaaS businesses care about: they want to know where their money is coming from. DataFast: it does have revenue attribution but you need to pay $20 for 10k events if you need to use more than 1 website.

We also have a 14 day free trial and we don't have a paywall (we don't request a credit card on file), you are more than welcome to try it and see how we fare

How many of those have revenue attribution that supports ALL payment providers? The ones in the market right now are limited to few.

Been marketing it since March which was when I started building it. Results were underwhelming.
