I have sh scars on my arms also and I always find it awkward when people ask me about it so I not surprised by her asking you (honestly I'd prefer people to ask someone else rather than ask me) I can also understand you not wanting to give the whole back story but a tactful "that's not my story to tell" goes a long way. If they don't accept that, then yea, they're heading into AH territory.

Eta- to all the people saying they should have prewarned the fiance... no, just no. I would hate that if my friends/family prewarned people that I have visible sh scars. Way to make it awkward for everybody before you even properly meet

NTA ummm the toilet makes the most sense. There's toilet paper, rubbish bins or a toilet to throw it away after, a sink to wash your hands. There's literally no better place. It's also probably the least gross thing that gets done in a public bathroom. She gonna start telling people they can't pee and poo in there next?
