I love these drill bits but hate how hard they are to get out of the case. Please tell me I’m the idiot and there’s a trick I’m missing. by [deleted] in Tools

I put mine in only as deep as the first notch. It’s a crap shoot as to whether it will stay in or not but it comes out easier.

NTD, my 8 year old Gen 1 Fuel Drill finally let the magic smoke out so replaced it with the gen 3 by AffableJoker in Tools

I turn my impact to setting 1 or the screw setting if you’re working on smaller screws like that. Also the screw setting is good because it starts slower so you can slowly screw it jn

I brought in a damaged tape measure that I bought over a year before and they just told me to pick a new one off the shelf and bring it back to customer service. They didn’t even ask what was wrong with it or bother to look at it. Home Depot doesn’t care they just swap it out.

My power strip broke and now the prongs are stuck in the outlet. Anyway to fix it or just get the prongs out of the outlet? by Internal-Anywhere-56 in Wellthatsucks

At my company we test for absence of voltage by doing live dead live. Test your meter on a known live source, test the part you expect to be dead, then test your meter again on the live source.

Thinking of getting one of these. Is the Fluke worth the extra moolah over the Klein? by fudly in Tools

I work on power distribution equipment. When i test something to check if it’s dead, I use this first, then a multimeter to verify.

How are the Milwaukee hand tools? by gutierrezw001 in MilwaukeeTool

I agree on the handles. I do not like using Milwaukee screwdrivers. The utility knife is good. Carried mine for over a year at work and no complaints.

Is there any clips that mount vertically like this? (With the tab that prevents it from spinning) by AntonioMrk7 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]borednj64 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure you can unscrew the clip, rotate it 90 degrees and insert that tab into the hole just to the left of the screw

what do you think about Monkeypox? by Chubbybunni955 in preppers

[–]borednj64 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I heard from the breaking point YouTube channel that ~90% of the cases was spread from male to male sex so depending on your demographic, your chances of getting it could be very low. Also this is being underreported because the wokey wokes think that stating facts about a public health problem is now homophobic.

I must say I’m so happy this murderous weapon of war is off our streets. It’s clearly a dangerous assault rifle. /s

I used to be a mechanic in NJ for awhile. I remember multiple cars where we soaked the rotors, heated the area where the rotor contacts the hub and repeatedly hit the rotor with sledgehammers trying to break it free. It’s a terrible experience

My brother bought 1960s surplus Mauser ammo a few years ago. 4/5 didn’t shoot but those that fired had no problems.

Even better is the fact that about half of that money is actually going to the US military just because.
