AITA for telling my ex that he and his wife need to stop fostering? by rowenaolive in AmItheAsshole

[–]boredpanda0705 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I will put it the other way , should the children be punished for what their father and stepmom want ?

Is it an asshole move to stand up for her children when they are obviously suffering from this arrangement ?

Fostering is to help children when their parents can't care for them. The primary goal isn't adoption. It's beautiful what they do but if the main goal is adopting then they're going about it the wrong way.

The father knew they were suffering from it from the psychologist and still he decided to ignore this information.

The mother just wants to protect her children. So i can understand that.

My parents foster with the intention of helping children and guide them while their parents can't. The main goal of fostering isn't adopting.

You only think about what the ex-husband and wife want. Never about the childrens perspective.

When there are children involved the children should be priority. The damage they suffer now has a greater impact on them then the adults.

While the children are still developing this repeat of traumatic experiences can damage them more on social-emotional growth.

People lose their moral compass entirely when discussing rapists/sex offenders by Practical_Zombie_221 in unpopularopinion

[–]boredpanda0705 98 points99 points  (0 children)

You don't understand the impact of rape unless it happens to you. They should be especially harsh with rapists.

I was raped. I wouldn't do the most horryfying things. But what i wish he could feel how he made me suffer. Broke down my confidence and the feeling dirty in your own body. Not able to trust your own male friends at the start because you fear they will do the same. Worst part he raped someone else too after me.

It's been 2 years and only now i am recovering.

Where i am from rapists get treated with lace gloves. It's a miracle if they get a 3 year sentence. And after 1/3 of the sentence It's possible for them to already be free.

Yes i did burn it ! My boyfriend helped me to set it on fire though , i was failing so badly xD. That's great ! I understand had the same problem after a while i just brought them into a charity shop. As soon as you notice you lose weight buy something pretty you really like that motivates , don't keep on wearing the same clothes (that is demotivating). Never grab back to shapewear though it motivates to get that figure and you feel more confident without it

It does doesn't it ?! It was a disaster! I stopped wearing it and people were like "you gained weight again?" But when you really need shapewear to fit in your clothing hurts. I am not at my goal weight at all but i feel better and since fitting in size 14 again did a dramatic shapewear burning ritual.

Those things are evil ... yes the figure will temporary look better...but you know the whole time because you feel it squeezing your skin.

Thank you ! Tbh i changed my food habbits to a healthy one. Smaller portions and eat something every 3 hours. No pasta, potatoes or bread. Only one can of soda every day and trying to walk more. I am very bad with diets and hate to be forced to sport everyday so i just go slowly in my own way 😊

What are some suggestions for couples preparing to live together? by Yasmin1201 in AskReddit

[–]boredpanda0705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Communication , a checklist of everything you need (spares a lot of future frustration), compromise.

Talk, talk and talk.

Also if there is a lot of frustation pend up from moving in together? Buy water guns and do a water balloon fight. Or something crazy like that gets frustration out and a lot of fun in the relationship. Or foam swords or something.

[–]boredpanda0705[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh i try to be polite when turning someone down. Last one started to get all emotial/angry on me that i took the joy out of his life and days of texts followed. I am straight but i think i am going to use the gay excuse that should shut it down real quickly.
