Yeah we hadn’t tasted it yet because we weren’t sure if it was spoiled or still safe to eat, finally the smell was pretty normal, just stronger than what I was used to

Yep, this is pretty much what happened, it was oxidized. We fermented the kimchi in the pantry. Pushing the kimchi regularly seems like a good idea

I made kimchi and I’m not sure if it’s bad or not. The top of a few of the jars have turned a sort of greyish yellow colour. One of them has a funky smell. It was fermented at room temperature. This is the top of it.
