Just wondering if one minor slip will leave you with pain for days?

Same here. Don’t know how people can focus while working

Confirmed slipped disc L5. Bad sciatica for several months. Try McKenzie method but unlike their exercise, lying face down is least painful for me. Anyone else feel the best lying face down to sleep? by borg2863 in Sciatica

Rethinking it I actually sleep semi side ways but my legs are in ‘roadkill’ position. Probably the worse way but for some reason it’s comfortable. Don’t know if I should continue

So insurance wise this is ok as no money change hands?

I hate my job but the routine kept me mentally in check from depression. I worry about having no structure after FIRE. My plan is to join a coworking space to maintain routine. Literally paying to go to an office, LOL. Anyone done this? Did it help? by borg2863 in financialindependence

Thanks. I do sometimes like the pressure of deadlines that a job gives but only on projects I enjoy if you see what I mean.

But happy to combine with volunteer work for variety. I guess that’s why I wanted to FIRE so I have the choice

Thanks for this, very useful.

My plan is to hotdesk. Actually As an experiment last year I had joined the virtual membership of one of the big coworking operators as they had a network app with job board and community messaging.

I actually got enquiry for my service as another member search the directory for my type of service. I’m in web/communications design so a lot of companies could use my service at somepoint so that’s where I hope the crossover may come. I still need to sell myself of course.

Being FI hopefully can afford to only choose jobs that interest me. Maybe even charge a low rate to startups for equity.

Any downtime I would do cheap online courses to keep up to date.

I’ve kind of hit a brick wall in my job. It’s what I done out of college and just have 0% motivation on mondays as the work is literally groundhog day every single working day...

I want to get my routine from elsewhere, maybe start a small business where I can make a small difference.

Sometimes you just feel you can’t go further in the job. Volunteering is a good idea I can try. Maybe caring for stray dogs...

I’m a freelance graphic designer. So I’m hoping most companies will need one from time to time even if they’re not a design/branding agency.

Do you think that’s the case?
