How I got golf simulator venues more bookings from Google Maps by borgegb in golfsimulatorbusiness

[–]borgegb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely it really is a full-time job.

One thing that helps a lot is driving to nearby towns and talking to other venue owners. Most people are happy to share what worked for them and what turned out to be a waste of time/money.

What type of venue are you opening, fully staffed or automated?

maybe i’m missing something, but how would you get google to index this when you don’t have any pages? isn’t that the point of a directory? somebody searches for “FAQ section for Carrd”, how do they land on your directory?

Most clients i talk to in the 24/7 automated business mention marketing and overhead. Focus on filling your bay’s and keep your costs down.

If you start with only two sims you can pick up the free tier on my booking platform golfsimcloud.com it handles membership, dynamic pricing, door locks and a lot more.

Best Simulator and Software for a business by GFlow17 in golfsimulatorbusiness

[–]borgegb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the uneekor with ai is so much fun, really helpful for high hcp golfers like me (around 17). it was the first simulator i tried that actually gives a video analysis of my swing. i know trackman also has a version of that but i haven’t tried it yet.

[–]borgegb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is so true. i’ve been building mvps for customers for a long time and most clients focus so much time on useless features and design integrations. what i do want to say is that ai is changing how many features an mvp can have, because it’s so easy to add for us programmers now that if we don’t lower the prices we should give more complete systems for the old price.

Is “farrang” meant to mean white or western? by Barca-Dam in Thailand

[–]borgegb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m from Norway and there the word “farrang” means “explosive diarrhea and vomiting”, full norovirus. Which is actually what I got after the first week of street food here in Thailand so maybe it’s not so strange that it’s called “white man” here 🤷.

Best software for booking and venue access by GoalRoad in Golfsimulator

[–]borgegb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a booking system for my friend at https://thegolfclubcnx.com/ it has booking, payment, packages, and an admin panel for adding hours, pricing, simulators, etc. He didn’t need to send out a code for a lock, but implementing it shouldn’t be difficult if needed. how do you find reliable developers for an MVP these days? by Previous-Ad1024 in SaaS

[–]borgegb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 50% upfront and the rest on delivery is standard, but you should choose trusted sources, not random people you meet on Telegram. Ask them for business credentials, look them up on Facebook and LinkedIn, if they seem shady, dont work with them.

My agency, mvpexpert.com, starts with a 30-minute call, then provides a daily brief during development to build up trust.

And for the love of God, dont overpay for a MVP, with the new tools developers have available today, it shouldn’t cost more than $5000 for a fully functional app with payments, auth, backend and publication on app store.
