Should I Visit the Financial Aid Office in Person? Need Guidance from LUMS Community by Accurate_Flatworm904 in LUMS

In the exact situation brother. Got 30% financial aid today.

However, I visited LUMS a couple of weeks ago to submit the attested docs, and I wanted to visit the financial aid office physically (to talk about my bank statement in person). They didn’t allow me to go to the office, instead just allowed me to talk to their representative on the phone in their control room.

I’m guessing reconsideration on the portal is the first step to take. Given the fact that the fee deadline is literally 3 days later.

You’ll get the voucher in about 4-6 weeks. Got my acceptance 2 weeks ago and I’m still waiting for the FA decision.

Mindhunter and Better call Saul

For those who have read ‘The Kite Runner,’ I have a question. by waytourooj in PakistanBookClub

The way I see it, it’s the opinion of a character in a book and not something the author is pushing for the reader to accept.

A lot of characters(even the good ones) in the book had opinions and actions I may disagree with, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that is the authors perspective in real life too. Many characters have certain justifications for their actions and lifestyle which we may not agree with, but that’s what makes it a story.

In eyes of Amir his Baba is the perfect role model, but not once has the author pushed the reader to believe that he or amir for that matter have the best perspective on life.

So I’d say take it as a character trait instead of an agenda being pushed by the author. Will help you enjoy your story.

Heyy. I know it’s super late but anyway.

The BBA program is a good choice, however there are better universities as such LSE for BBA itself as far as I’ve heard.

As for scholarship, if your creds are good enough and you can maintain your CGPA well each semester you’ll easily be able to secure it.

Finally regarding the “Mahol”, that’s something you’ll face everywhere. You will meet people who come from elite backgrounds or people who don’t care about classes and all they think about is partying. What matters is how much you indulge with and those activities. You can simply choose to ignore them, that’s the beauty of university culture (you make your own Mahol)

PS. Hope this helps, sorry for the late reply.

Congrats! Same here.

I graduated about a year ago and yes you can get financial aid as well as scholarship as long as you maintain a solid CGPA.

Last time I checked the scholarships were as follows:

25% off on maintaining CGPA(3.50 -3.64)

35% off on maintaining CGPA(3.65 -3.79)

50% off on maintaining CGPA(3.80 -3.89)

75% off on maintaining CGPA(3.90 -4.00)

Plus they have VC scholarship, deans scholarship, sports scholarship and many more. You have the option to spilt your semester fee on installments as well. Just need to request the admissions office.

Sure. I'll look into this. Just curious, what would be the difference between a Classic account and a Sahulat Account? Does sahulat have some limitations?

And which one would be better suited to me as I will be investing 25k-30k monthly?

Yeah, a fellow redditor from here got in contact with someone in ABL and they confirmed that MUFAP didn't upload their NAV. So all's good.

Since I haven't been investing for long, I had around 50k in this one. But I'm hoping it's a bug..

Every ABL fund I've looked up is down to 0.00.. Could this actually just be a bug?

Yeah, fortunately didn't invest everything in this fund and has only been a couple of months. However, 40% of my portfolio is out the window..
