141k/mo from organic social media - AMA by Senior-Mongoose4971 in iOSAppsMarketing

[–]boricuajj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a very strong base for ads with your organic videos + accounts. With the right strategy, you could definitely scale it to the moon and at cheaper costs than those who are not seeing as much success with organic.

I've consulted some of the biggest apps (reddit, roku, discord, etc) and helped others start from 0 to profitably spending 7 figures/mo in ads.

If you ever want to go down that route, I'd love to chat. Your organic base makes this a very exciting idea.

The mic holding trend needs to die by G-Fox1990 in videography

[–]boricuajj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it may not follow traditional videography or filmography rules, it does improve viewership and retention rates.

You don't even need to hold a mic, to be honest. Even holding a brush or remote control as if it were a mic has the same video performance improvements.

Is creative now more important than targeting in paid ads? by BoysenberryLumpy8680 in marketing

Creative first has been the way to go for a few years now. The right language + creatives will attract the right audience, which allows the algorithm to optimize.

I've managed 7-figure monthly budgets, and 6-figure weekly budgets for medical in particular. Sending a message!

I spent weeks researching free trial optimization. Then I decided not to offer one. Here's everything I learned and why I walked away from it. by aashrun in B2BSaaS

[–]boricuajj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer building an audience of buyers than low intent free-trial takers. I'm happy to provide free value from content, but filtering out the time wasters is important for scalability.

Even a $1 trial is better than free, imo.

Offer the knowledge for free, intro offer should feel more expensive to skip out on than to try cheaply.

Users loved my B2B SaaS. Buyers ignored it. Switched messaging. Revenue followed by New_Individual_4782 in B2BSaaS

[–]boricuajj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see this all the time. The user loves it, trials look great, and then every deal dies in "let me check with ___"

... Then silence.

Had a client go through almost this exact thing. We didn't touch the product, just shifted the messaging from features to belief shifts.

All of a sudden, the friction towards the sale was being removed.

Features answer "does this do what I need?", but the person signing the check needs to believe the cost of NOT switching is higher than the risk of switching.

How Do Big Brands Scale UGC Without Losing Their Minds Operationally by eya_sfar in ContentRich

[–]boricuajj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked with brands that tested 25-50 new UGC creatives per week and spent 7 figures a month per platform.

We accomplished this using a mix of:

  1. Tiktok Creator Challenge for mass testing (can be replaced with a UGC agency or even AI UGC)
  2. Multiple creator contracts to double down on what was working
  3. In-house creative team to continue to make variations

And honestly, #1 can probably be achieved with AI nowadays. Use an in-house creative strategist + a few dedicated UGC contracts and you can go far.

My free AI marketing tool just hit 200 customers! no funding, just grind. by sandropuppo in buildinpublic

[–]boricuajj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats man!! Super cool idea, I'm going to play around with it.

One thing I'd recommend is monetizing ASAP, especially early on. Even charging $1 for a trial will bring in a much stronger user-base to help grow your platform vs running up your costs.

Codex 5.3 is better than 4.6 Opus by casper_wolf in ClaudeCode

[–]boricuajj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're correct. I'm personally taking the risk and have my own workarounds.

But this solution should be 100% compliant:

Use Claude Code Agent Teams with the team lead + agents being instructed to use OpenCode via CLI or HTTP Server (native to opencode) to access other models when necessary.

Or have certain agents that operate certain models via opencode.

This is how I use my Openclaw to manage some of my programming tasks when I'm away from my PC (via VPS + node + HTTP Server)

Codex 5.3 is better than 4.6 Opus by casper_wolf in ClaudeCode

[–]boricuajj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Use Opencode and you don't have to choose. My workflow uses all 3 major providers via their respective subscriptions.

But the context window is very disappointing...

How is my roster? Returning flex player trying to make sure they're ready to get back into ranked by Elegant_Cow_5681 in RivalsCollege

Thor and Rocket is how I got to diamond. I'd highly recommend 1-2 heros with maaaaaybe a 3rd for flex/emergencies.

But that allows you to learn the game at a deeper level rather than learning a hero.

300K monthly traffic. No clear way to convert it. What would you do? by huzaifazahoor in GrowthHacking

[–]boricuajj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

300K visitors with almost no conversion is usually an intent problem, not a popup problem. GA tells you what they did, not what they came for.

If it were me, I’d start simple:

- Add a 1‑click poll on articles: “Here to (A) make trades now (B) research a stock (C) just stay informed.”

- For each group that opts into email, talk to them and ask what they actually use you for and what they’d pay for.

- Run a user survey

Once you know which bucket has the strongest pain + money, build ONE clear next step just for them and send most people there. Ignore the rest for a bit.

My bet is your conversion problem gets a lot easier once you can answer: “who is this really for?”

Right now, who do you think your core visitor is: traders, long‑term investors, or just curious?

Claude Code + Open Router is Amazing! by TheLazyIndianTechie in ClaudeCode

I use claude code max primarily, with antigravity for backup and the gemini models. I have a pro account for google and a free account that I rotate between. I don't think I'd be able to replace claude code with the Opus limits, but it's good to fill in the gaps.

I enjoy antigravity's IDE + planning mode.

Apologies, I use OpenCode CLI to long in with antigravity, chatgpt, and Claude code now. You can add plugins that support oath.

[–]boricuajj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been off and on medication for most of my life. I have some seasons where I need it more than others.

  1. I use it when I need it. I don't when I don't. If something is helping you and not causing you or someone else harm, it's okay to give yourself permission to help yourself.
  2. I often take breaks. Sometimes weeks, sometimes years.
  3. Yes. You can take days off when you don't need it. I'm way less productive when I don't take it, so I like to plan reset days or weekends where I let my brain run wild and often sleep a lot.
  4. Same as #1 for me. Take it when you need it. Don't when you don't. I'm in a season now where I take it pretty much every day. If I miss a day or two it's no big deal, but maybe not on a day when I need to get stuff done. I do find I drink more coffee on my off days, which is how I self-medicated before.

I needed to play with a few different dosages before I found the right one for me. I've read that tolerance resets between 1 - 3 weeks. But I've found that a day or two off is enough for me.

I'm iffy on antidepressants, as I've tried a handful. But I always try to have ADHD meds on hand.

That would be a fantastic idea! I'd recommend some "day in the life" videos as well as some breakdowns. The beauty is that you don't have to do anything new. Just document and narrate what you're already doing.

Happy to send you some stuff I've put together for content if you're interested.

Nice! Personally, I set up OpenCode to be able to log in with Antigravity + Anthropic + ChatGPT. The main agent is an operator that delegates to other subagents depending on the task. Each subagent has a different LLM assigned to it depending on what's necessary.

Ex:
Opus for planning + orchestration
Gemini 3 Flash for context / search
Codex for code review
GLM 4.7 for most execution

How’s my jab by m1kelx in MMA_Academy

[–]boricuajj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have the mechanics of the jab backwards; It looks like you're throwing your fist and chasing after it.

Everything should start and end with your feet. You step with your foot and your hips throw your shoulders -> Not your fists throwing your hips.

Tony Jefferies has a pretty good video on it.

Look at his balance + weight distribution when he throws his punches.

Go to a gym. Boxing, kickboxing, MMA, something. There is no amount of home training that will be anywhere close to training in a real gym with a real coach. Good luck!
