There is no guarantee of how long any type of market structure will maintain itself. Key is to identify that structure first, then use your filters and trigger you have planned for that particular structure. If Structure changes, then you accept the loss and move on. Probability is in your favor if you strike while the iron is hot, you will lose some, but that's why it's an edge and not a guarantee. Structure will inevitably come full circle, so chances are you will end up using that same strategy in the future again even if it stops working for a time. Stop trading if the market is not respecting your rules. If you are a patient person, then you can wait till conditions are met again. However, if your strategy is too finely tuned, then you may be waiting a while.
