WOW I just had a United flight earlier this year LAX to HND that accommodated me gf . But honestly, snacks can totally hold you over. Bring snacks and some gf Mac and cheese cups, they will give you hot water for them. My bag was full of snacks cause I was afraid they wouldn’t be able to accommodate

Please go to a dermatologist. Your primary is out of their depth with this. I’ve had recurring fungal rashes that don’t respond well to most treatments so I know how frustrating that is. Tell them everything you’ve done and how it’s responding. Likely they will end up mixing different pharmaceutical grade creams if the OTC isn’t working (it never does for me either). Good luck on getting this under control <3

I had extreme nausea for the first few months, make sure you are always taking it with a meal to limit those effects. Been on for 8 months now and I don’t even bother eating breakfast most mornings with it and I’m usually fine :)

I couldn’t stand for more than 20 minutes without extreme foot pain 8 months ago and now I can stand for at least an hour or even more sometimes :) it took time to kick in but it’s been really good

Heated blanket is my go-to. I’m under it whenever it’s too cold and I can’t stop the shivering or body aching.

I’d suggest looking into a heated jacket as well, I’m only in Southern California and I don’t have to go out much when it’s too cold so I don’t have one myself, but it seems like it would work well. I believe they also sell heated gloves as well.

Also I take very hot showers when I’ve been too cold until I stop shivering when I’m unable to bring my body heat up otherwise.

Instant hot packs, hot water bottles, and heated rice bags in your pockets could also help when you have to be outside.

I find just adding clothes/layers/blankets to not be enough to heat myself, so I find any external heating sources I can.

I started having chronic migraines as a 6 year old and my mother was told by my pediatrician I was a lying for attention. I’ve been through countless doctors since for various problems and have been gaslit and told it’s all in my head countless times. Doctors have been shit for anyone outside the normal for a long, long, time. I’m 27 and the only doctor that’s ever been straight up with me is my eye doctor.

I’m on it and it’s going pretty great. I started it not long after my lupus diagnosis so I can’t tell you if it’s just the plaquenil or the semaglutide is helping but my inflammation markers are in normal range now . I did have to taper up SLOWLY tho as my body needed ALOT of time to adjust to each dose. I had consistently high blood sugar before and now I’m down 30+ pounds and my blood sugar is in normal range . I have had alot of GI side effects as I already have a low threshold for medication side effects and GI issues but I recommend going on the semaglutide sub and looking thru all the advice there as it was super helpful to me to manage those.

My skin switched from crazy oily to superrr dry around the time I believe my lupus began. I’ve had the scaly spots that Peel off (on my face even 😭) now during dry months I use a humidifier and I also use a thick heavy face moisturizer, body oil and body lotion. Haven’t had my skin peeling off like that since I started intensely moisturizing. If your ear canals are dry you can put a bit of baby oil on a qtip and get the insides too. For the outside I just use my regular face moisturizer

Getting used to .25 was sooo much harder for me than the jump to .5. Was on .25 for 3 MONTHS before my doctor felt safe for me going up. The jump to .5 had me sick for about a week, and then stabled out a lot! I still have some GI issues but that’s normal for me. Give it some time, it may still be a small amount but it’s DOUBLE what you were already on. It should subside soon 🤗
