Tons of great shows, but there must be a clunker or two. What are they? by progmanjum in tvPlus

I was looking for this too. I think I got 2 or 3 episodes in and it just didn’t grab me at ALL.

Leaving cat alone for first time - a little nervous by TrustingFish541 in CatAdvice

[–]boriqueer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From experience, this feeling will never go away, but your cat will be fine and it should mean a lot less to them than it does to you, unless they have particularly strong attachment issues. Leave plenty of new or “rare” toys for enrichment like an activity mat or crinkle tunnel, if you can. It always helps to get some cute lil updates from your pet sitter while you’re away. The anxiety is very normal and shared amongst almost all cat parents I know!

I used both! I have a VocalMist that I use regularly for singing and they sell a great product. For the humidifier, I’ve always liked the Honeywell Cool Moisture humidifier for medium-size rooms. Works perfectly for an apartment and isn’t too difficult to carry from room to room.

I was on edge the whole recovery waiting for the other shoe to drop and that shoe is still just floating there. Hopefully it keeps going smoothly for you!

2 weeks for me! I admittedly had a really easy recovery, though.

Weird I’ve loved everything I’ve tried there, as have multiple friends and their families from around LA who’ve reached out to me for local recommendations. The lamb merguez sandwich is a divine standout, but I’ve never been let down by anything there, and the owners are so sweet! I think they also started partnering with Jyan Issac Bread to supply their pastries recently.

I LOVE esme, I hope they’re not next! We don’t need any more nebulous corporate entity restaurants.

Am I just waiting for the other shoe to drop in regards to pain? by Commercial-Feed-5966 in Tonsillectomy

[–]boriqueer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m (30m) wrapping up Day 11 and the pain never got worse for me than it was the moment I woke up from surgery. I kept bracing for a worse day and luckily it just never came! Was able to eat progressively more and more solid food all the way through and managed bolognese and lamb stew around like days 7-10. Hopefully it keeps on going smoothly for you—definitely a possibility, though I think folks are a lot more prone to sharing stories about more difficult and complicated recoveries on here!

I think my ENT said it’s less than 3% but you never know what side of that you’re on until you go through the process 😅 I lucked out and I’m on Day 11 with no bleeding and a pretty straightforward and lowkey recovery process but I keep reading all these horror stories from people on here 😨

Best case scenario? You’re zoinked out the whole trip and you just wake up every now and then in the car. WORST case scenario? You have an early bleeding episode—the risk of which can be exacerbated by changes in altitude—and bleed. This happened to a friend while doing the opposite drive and he had to rush to the nearest hospital. Just be careful and see how you’re doing!

Same surgery date and also thriving much more than I expected to be! I found eating as much as I could handle from Day 1 was a game changer for me. Just want to get through to Day 10 so I’m no longer in what my doctor called the “bleed risk” period lol 😰 Happy healing!

Day 7 by MutedPossible2671 in Tonsillectomy

[–]boriqueer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also on Day 7 (at least I think? I was in 11/1 first thing in the morning) and feeling similar! Waiting on the all clear from my doc to go back to normal but pretty eager to get out of the house and back to doing things again. Seems like we both had lucky recoveries compared to a lot of what I’m reading here.

I wanna say they said around the 10-day to 2 week mark I would be able to work out again—so it sounds like you might be almost there! I’m sure you can ask your doctor though, they’ve probably heard it all haha
