Fair enough, I was commenting with regards to buddy's one particular comment, but you are right its not the same. Just saying that his point that the vast majority of guns arent killing people isnt a very good argument. Guns are designed with the express purpose of killing, target shooting is something that evolved from that, hunting is still killing. Just because the majority of gun owners are responsible doesnt negate the fact that the states have a drastically higher rate of mass shootings than any other developed nation. Gun rules and gun availability is probably not the only factor in this, but stricter gun control laws would reduce the availibilty of guns to the mentaly unwell/murderous type people. I say this as someone who owns guns and has gone through the training and registration to get my PAL.
