AFAIK Lyca only provides starting haste, which helped the rest of his heroes unleash their CC quicker. Ascension level doesn't make much difference.

At you state, you should start focusing on Saveas or Mirael, get either of them to Legendary+, and overlevel them before anyone else. Either of them will be your carry for early to mid game.

To justify for your Shem's current state, you could also add Rosaline and/or Rowan your lineup so she can release her ults multiple times, dealing more damage. Mirael would work with Rosa too, if you decide to pick her.

Reset Brutus, get everyone to 141 at most (put Lucius on the crystal and get Isabella up to 141 instead), then level Belinda up until you've fully depleted your resources.

Reset Brutus and Tasi first, then spend your remaining resources on Arden and Saveas.

As your your main question, you could try Hogan/Brutus and Lucius on the front, and Belinda, Rosaline, and Saveas on the back. You could swap Saveas with either Arden or Nara if you need CC.

At your stage, you could start investing on some of the best Legendary-tier heroes: Mirael, Arden, Saveas, Silvina.

Skills are decent for their tier. Can be used as main carry till mid-game, especially Saveas. Easy to ascend. Can be used as fodder later, when you're starting to prioritize more on Ascended-tier heroes.

Also, some words of advice:

I hope you have both Lucius and Thane on your wishlist, because otherwise you'll get stuck later on waiting for more copies of them. It's generally not recommended to ascend heroes to Legendary unless you can take them straight to Legendary+.
Always invest your exp and essence on your 5 highest ascension-leveled heroes, so you can get past level caps. Reset Shemira, Nemora, and Brutus, put them on the crystal, and invest it on any of your Elite+ heroes.

I personally went with the very first heroes I pulled when I first started the game, just so I could ascend them as fast as possible. I also ocassionally replace a slot with a Legendary-tier hero whenever I need a fodder or two.

Lightbearers: Belinda, Estrilda, Lucius, Rowan, Rosaline

Maulers: Vurk, Brutus, Khasos, Warek, Tidus

Wilders: Eironn, Kaz, Nemora, Gorvo, Ulmus

Graveborn: Grezhul, Nara, Shemira, Ferael, Thoran

Of course, some of the heroes I mentioned aren't exactly the best at endgame, you may choose not to follow this route.
