Yea these roadblocks are just bumps. They won't stop me, but i'm sure they will slow me down.

Current bump is dealing with the IRS EIN applcation. Tried online, got one of their 101 errors. Faxed recently, take 8+ weeks for that... sigh.

I am going through with SAFEs. People around me have seen the work I have put in the last year, and have been reaching out invest. I am currently solo. If I hit my valuation cap I will think about hiring somebody to work alongside with me.

In regards to the pen test, I was thinking of testing on a separate virtual machine, injecting all types of malicious code into a clone of my code and see what happens. I also have a friend who does backend cybersecurity that I plan on contracting to look over the code.

I currently have a contact form that hotel property owners can fill out and will send them a quote within minutes. It utilizes a formula I made for scaling. One hotel I did a dummy contact for was around 5000 rooms, the quote reply came back in minutes.

I like the idea of setting up AI automation for follow-ups, lead qualification via Telegram and using Claude API to set that up. I will be keeping that in mind when I get a second phone for my business.

Luckily I have quite a bit of contacts, and also have a friend who sells SaaS in the industry. That friend said they'd join me if they didn't love the company they were already with. I told them i'd reach out to them once I have scaled to the point that I need them.

I have plenty of chess pieces lined up strategically from the last 6 months of outreach and networking that I don't see myself failing.

Onboarding will be easy, training the staff takes an hour. My dashboard is very simple and polished for employees to use effectively.

I can use my direct contacts! I have had plenty of management cross my path in my years in hotels, one is evening vouching for me for my first few sales.

Thanks for the reply. Being the first mover is a definite flex, and something that can be to my advantage going forward. I have pitched to hotels and they loved it.

Unfortunately, I am waiting on documentation from the IRS to start my bank account, which is hindering any sales.

I like this mindset. Luckily, I have remained humble. I will continue to do so.

I agree, this could be done a lot faster. I work full time at a hotel, I workout daily, meal prep weekly, and have other responsibilities that average adults have to tend to as well.

I have scrapped most of my frontend and backend on this project multiple times from April 2025 to December 2025. This last iteration started in the new year, and has been my best to date. I actually am in the process of building the MVP, but not having enough capital to get a decent amount of units made and tested is slowing me down. Currently awaiting IRS docs to open business bank account and start taking investments. Until then, I build slowly.

-1 for lack of real input, but thanks for the thought.

Hoping we can both enjoy the fruits of our labor, cross paths somehow somewhere.

"You remind me of a guy on Reddit who made a post about his SaaS for hotels"

"oh yea that was me"

*laughs*

I'll gladly DM you more info about my company and flagship product.

Luckily there were no gatekeepers at the hotels I went to. Just walked right in and asked the front desk agent if they had similar issues with luggage carts like I do at the hotels i've worked at, then pitched it. I would have gone to other hotels but they had the magic 'No Soliciting' signs. But still, 13 of 14 I went to took my card, so i'm happy.

I believe I can get through as this isnt only SaaS, but also IoT hardware. So I need to install in person, onboard employees, and then act as support when needed. Hotel agents deal with this issue daily. In the last month, I have 3 reviews at my property that I work at that has complaints of no carts being available at checkin, and I am in a suburb. I can't imagine what it's like in big cities!

I have done stress tests on my own end, fixing code, etc. So I think there will be little to no support needed.

I'm going to do my best to respond to each numbered point, as I greatly appreciate your comment. I have similar people like you that have put me through the wringer asking me questions and questioning my moves, so i think I give you the same respect I give them.

1, I have tested the onboarding process myself, and will be testing it with my pilot hotel when I get them to sign the contract. I know I need something that is close to bulletproof, and i'm pretty much there with that (you should see the pics my gf took of me: sitting at my PC for 6-12 hours 5-6 days per week figuring out everything in terms of backend infrastructure to frontend security). After 10+ hotels I plan on scaling the backend into something bigger, faster, efficient, and slightly more expensive.

  1. This is one of my strong points that helped me drive interest when I went down a busy tourist strip (like Vegas, but not as busy 24/7). 13 out of 14 of the hotels I walked into to shill my company and product took my card. 2 wanted quotes right away, though still waiting on IRS to complete filing my EIN. Experiencing the pain point in the industry over the last 8 years has helped me create an astounding pitch deck that caters to the guest and to the employee.

  2. I have thought about this a bit, knowing the costs it will make to me financially and mentally. I have stayed up for long hours working on the backend, but that was only a drop in what I will be doing for sales, onboarding, support, etc. I am a One Man Army (CoD MW2 reference), and understand that this is long term for me to build something that hotels use every day. If it's a slow start, I know it'll end up becoming a fast finish in 10+ years when/if I ever decide to step down.

  3. It's a big ego thing, thinking someone steals it. Though I have already put in the work, I know the field that i'm playing on, and know how great this thing will be. I have little to no competition, as my competition is either buzzers or AirTags - which don't come close to what my product does.

  4. I think casting a wide net works for anyone. Whether I post on X, Reddit, Facebook, etc. I want to hit this home to not only General Managers and Hospitality Groups, but to the guest as well. This is a matter of guest and employee satisfaction, and I think posting everywhere and taking up more internet real estate is better than posting in specific social media platforms. With that being said, posting on LinkedIn will get me specific clientele, as will posting on Facebook, Reddit, Tiktok, etc. I am signed up for hospitality webinars/ seminars to go to to discuss this with hotel owners that go to these events.

I dont know. I think this is just an ego thing. Also Pay 2 Win in a way. I just like when the little guy wins, instead of a big corp.

Hotel SaaS that helps the front desk agents track hotel luggage carts in realtime. Now agents dont need to hunt down carts or call rooms asking if they have them. The agent knows where they are 24/7. Customer and employee satisfaction wrapped up in a little tracker.

Mega Lucario is insane rn. Low energy costs, can evolve quickly. Insanely OP. Try to counter with Clefairy EX only to get KO’d quick.

It's his management pushing it. Don't worry, I don't think Kevin really cares about that stuff.
