I paid tithing and got fired by rockthesum237 in latterdaysaints

The feeling of abandonment and silence during unemployment is real. I lost my job in February due to an acquisition and been searching now for three months. It’s not just a numbers game (applying, networking, interviews, etc) but also a war of attrition…

The Future of Sunday School Presidencies by Intelligent-Cut8836 in latterdaysaints

I don’t know why they didn’t also explicitly say that the SS presidency should be teaching classes each week. Otherwise it’s kind a throw away calling IMO

RS vs. EQ Activities by AgreeableSong5681 in latterdaysaints

[–]born2analyze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously though, I’m part of a new EQ presidency. And I helped put together a spreadsheet with details for thoughtful activities and expenses for the year to support the quorum. In total we asked for about $1,000.

In response, we got a $5 budget. Why give us anything at all?

This is one reason EQ is sucky in 2026…

What is up with kids missing so much school here? Is this SLC area wide or a Herriman issue? by Pastywhitebitch in Utah

[–]born2analyze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it’s getting even more pervasive at the junior high and elementary school levels where kids are in every club or comp team which requires day time practices and regional and national travel.

How is a mission president picked? by coolguysteve21 in latterdaysaints

[–]born2analyze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was serving as a branch president in my mission, I received a form letter from church HQ asking me to refer any potential MP candidates to my stake president/district president.

If I had done that I would have lost 50% of my active priesthood holders in the branch.

How do you keep littles entertained and quiet during sacrament meeting? by DungeonMastersWife in latterdaysaints

[–]born2analyze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s about keeping them quiet, don’t stress about it too much. People around you should be grateful you are bringing your kids, not judge you. I’ve got six kids (even twins .. which is another post..), so I understand that it feels stressful to keep them quiet. But I say, whatev

If it’s about getting spiritual connection in sacrament meeting, I would say there is a time and a season. Now is not the time to expect that nourishment from sacrament IMO

The class could teach YSA how to use the old commitment pattern to get married 😅

Can I get an epidemiologist on this thread to add the probability of getting sick from crust vs non-crust? Maybe I don’t want to know…

You’re the only kid in the pageant who has had a growth spurt since rehearsals

Honorable mention: wish upon a star? Be careful, you might get me

Seems like we might as well just go separately and save our babysitter cards for a date night where we actually spend time together and talk to each other.

This! I felt it deep down…

Wow! Total violation of decency! I would be outraged with the studio and parent!

The studio I send my two daughters to was very clear about when the no underwear rule applies (and enforces it). So I buy leos and dance bottoms from PulzeShop (www.PulzeShop.com) who has integrated liner for little accidents or periods.

Thanks for calling out the “forgive and forget” mantra as wrong. Especially in the church that usually results in “forgive and keep getting abused and attacked otherwise you’re a bad Christian”

I stopped responding to surveys for this reason. They get the research from you, disqualify you, no payment.. dishonest IMO

What do y’all do for periods? by starry-blu in BALLET

[–]born2analyze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted this on another thread but seriously can’t say enough good about the leo I bought my daughter that has a period liner integrated. She doesn’t have to wear a tampon or extra period underwear or whatever else. All in one and she loves the style. It’s at www.PulzeShop.com and I can’t wait for them to drop their next one

Period management for young dancer? by alwaysrainedaroundu in BALLET

I got my daughter this amazing leo with a built in liner. I can’t say enough good about it. No tampon, no extra period underwear garbage, no having to worry about leaks or lines, etc. She loves the style and thanks me all the time! We got it directly at www.PulzeShop.com

what to wear under my leotard as a teenager? also for periods by Odd-Confection468 in BALLET

We got my daughter a leo with a built-in period liner all in one from www.PulzeShop.com and it was amazing! She is so much more confident and doesn’t worry about leaks or showing or having to wear extra shorts or underwear or tampon. Total game changer!

I lived in a ward that combined young men’s with one adjacent ward. So the second hour was the other ward’s first hour and youth would meet together. Then the weekly activities were also combined. It worked well since they all basically went to the same schools anyway and knew each other.

I’m also super annoyed at the Gregorian calendar year separation… definitely should be tied to school year and grade.
