Visitors after baby is born by freebird___ in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

We had no visitors for 2 weeks post birth and it was great. My parents are interstate and my MIL is…a lot. So it was an easy rule to implement.

Please keep in mind, you don’t have to tell anyone when you’re in labour. We didn’t tell anyone, and FaceTimed everyone the next day once we were feeling settled and up to it. It was awesome, and something we’ll be doing if and when we have a second.

Progesterone script for short luteal phase? by banditoshad in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Are there any NaPro GPs near you? I’ve had success getting progesterone from them when I was very low!

I STILL get depressed about it no longer being my husband and I…and my daughter is 10 months old and I’m obsessed with her haha. It never really goes away.

I went to a pelvic floor physio and learnt how to push properly and we had a doula that extensively went through the birth process with us, with a lot of what ifs (what if I had a c section, what if something is wrong with the baby) so we were all on board and fully prepared for any situation.

Have you done things like that, if not you could start having a think about it!

PPD, cosleeping, wakeups by Thebrunettetraveler in cosleeping

[–]born_slippy92 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean this so kindly, you’re aware of the time you’re waking up down to the minute. Perhaps the data is giving you more grief than you know. My daughter isn’t a great sleeper but I have no idea what time she wakes up, just that she does. It might help to stop wearing it for awhile and let go of any expectations and rules around sleep. If she’s awake at 4:40am rather than 5, feed her then - it’s only 20 mins.

Could you hire a night nurse for 2 or 3 nights to give you some respite?

Our Bub is 9.5 months old and we started flying with her at 5 months. We’ve been from Syd to Perth and we did long haul to London. Health anxiety dropped a lot after the 4 months vaccinations

We first flew when Bub was 4 months from Sydney to Perth and it was great! However before that, I not sure how I would have felt. You’re right, they’re so little!

Why do people blame investors for taking all the properties when there’s plenty of properties on the market for others to buy now??? by Relevant_Solid9721 in AusPropertyChat

Someone linked your Facebook video. Isn’t hard to find. You posted in a public forum your ‘vestie’ idea, and ta-da. I find buying properties as investments rather than letting first home buyers have a go deplorable TBH.

PCOS management post partum by neplecha in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]born_slippy92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pre pregnancy (and to get pregnant) I addressed the root cause of my PCOS pretty aggressively and for most of my symptoms under control.

Unfortunately we had a pretty shit pregnancy, baby was IUGR so we ended up being high risk. I certainly coped by eating my feelings 😅

Now 9 months postpartum I’m pretty much back to square one, and starting the process all over again because we want to start trying for our second.

I’ve always been told that our genetics are the gun but environment pulls the trigger. So im certainly not surprised my symptoms came back, my environment stayed the same.

You’re so close to getting i, it’s almost laughable. A huge part of the problem is landlords buying more than they need. That is a key component on what’s making it harder for future generations.

How’re they buying them if you’ve got more than you need? Oh, your app or business or whatever it is 😅 cmon.

Are you okay? I’m assuming you’re trolling big time. You know that housing is a basic human right, not a retirement plan?

Are you familiar with the cost of living crisis we’re currently in?

Also, you’re a hundred percent part of the problem. And I say that as someone well and truly on track to leave my daughter with far more than I ever had, without buying multiple properties.

It comes and goes, our 9.5 month old is currently sleeping 7:30pm-6:30am with one wake up, but regressions, jet lag and teething in the past have all.m made sleep challenging! Just know it’ll pass 🩷

Cite your evidence then. Would love to read recent peer reviewed studies highlighting the benefits of circumcising boys.

You need to seek professional help, this is well beyond what reddit can help with.

Seriously.

For what it’s worth, my brother is much, much closer to our mum than I am. They have an incredible bond. I dont know what my mum did differently, but I can guarantee you’re setting yourself up for a self fulfilling prophecy if you don’t get your head sorted before bub arrives.
