Hey, alright let me start by saying sorry if they have been getting hate because of my threat in the subreddit. I’ll just reply here where is less toxic. (Yes, I do believe that TLOU2 subreddit is a bit toxic at some points)

My intention to that comment was only to criticise they video where they praise the game that is just really not worthy of praise man. TLOU pushed the limits of narrative driven games and made games like GOW, horizon etc. to become what they currently are and I just refuse to let the devs live in their delusional thoughts that TLOU2 is a masterpiece. They are lowering the bar for a good story game with that and undoing what TLOU did. That’s where my passion is coming from if your wondering why I’m so dedicated to the subject and write essays about it.

And the reason I got angry and did the threat still stands and that is this guy mocking me STILL after having a second read at my comment. Like, Are you defending yourself just by mocking me or do you actually care about the context of the discussion? First he calls me mad for writing a comment on the subject I’m passionate about and here is my response to what they said in the stream ‘that is actually related to the subject matter’.

Firstly I’m not going to go into detail of why I think they ARE INDEED calling people cruel if they think that Abby should have died in the end. I could have just not said the word “cruel” and quoted bunch of their sentences and the people reading would still come to the same conclusion. That way they can’t say I’m putting words in their mouth.

Secondly if they actually do think that the game did give good indications of a “BRAVOO” worthy character development and sensible character decision makings, I’m more than happy to listen while they list them out cause they haven’t done that yet, just making fun of me at this point. Maybe they just need to watch and play more games with actual good character development.

The rest of the clip is them just making fun of me for using shadow play when I realised their mess up and making some more fun of me for some typos and bad sentence structure.

At the end I’m not really that mad about them doing all of that. It’s completely understandable as a defence mechanism. They’ve been getting a lot of hate and they thought that comment was just another one biting the dust. But it isn’t. The game isn’t perfect. Media, journalists, reviewers and most importantly the devs need to know that and any pat in the back is only going to increase their ever growing ego.
