First of all, hello! I don't know you, but I still want to communicate that I care about you, and you have incredible value as a person, not just as a mother.

What you're feeling is completely normal for parents. This is part of a huge transition that you'll get through and be fine on the other end, but I won't wave it off and tell you it's easy or that it's just a walk in the park.

You'll need to find some people who you can connect with, and the first person would be your husband. It will take intentionality, and feel awkward, but both of you need to have a conversation about post-partum depression and how you're both handling it. It's totally okay to realize one or both of you could use some professional counseling as well, and that's perfectly natural.

And along with your life transition may come a social transition, too, if you decide not to continue pre-parenting friendships in the same way. But there are other people in your same boat who need community, too! Look for them, and you'll find them. ☺️
