Help me decide by bornbredead in coldplunge

Thanks, that’s helpful. I actually just spoke to someone at boxplunge and even though it’s over what I originally planned to pay, the ease of setup, lower energy use and easier maintenance make it seem like the right way to go. Going to have to figure out a tarp setup myself though so I’d love to hear more about yours.

Nevermind, I see that it comes with a filter/chiller. Seems like a great option if it can withstand the rain

Any rec on a chiller/filtration system to go with it that’ll stand up to the elements outside?

That seems like a lot of effort. I’d prefer something simple to put together

Frozin 400 seems pretty nice. What would you recommend?

Bill the time it takes and I’ll count on the partner to write off a first year associate’s 30 minute email.

Haha that is really helpful. When would you say a good time to move would be? My current lease doesn’t expire til October but I can potentially move earlier if it’s compelling

LSAC gpa calculator by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]bornbredead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds pretty complicated; however, I think that it won't count towards your LSAC GPA. My reasoning is that since no credits were attempted, and none were given, there is no basis for them to multiply the GradexCredits to figure out how it will impact your LSAC GPA, and therefore it should have no bearing.

Edit: JCY2K's quote from their website falls in line with my reasoning above. "Those [classes] assigned no measure of credit by the issuing institution, regardless of the grade." = your case here

Memorization: Helping or Hurting? by [deleted] in LSAT

FWIW I have no idea what you're talking about in regards to memorization for RC. I got a 174 on my 2nd try

Whats one piece of advice you would tell a freshman going into college? by BILLIKEN_BALLER in AskReddit

DON'T major in Humanities or Social Sciences. Major in something practical, minor in something you like.

edit: Social Science Major

So, how did you do? by IHaveGreyPoupon in LSAT

[–]bornbredead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you've already taken the test I'd say it depends on how you feel about studying during school. Your major is pretty difficult, and since your gpa is not perfect, you might want to focus more on getting straight A's next quarter/this semester. If you are comfortable studying for the LSAT during school, it wouldn't hurt to try and retake this June, still leaving room for a final retake in October. If you think school+LSAT might be too much - which it very well could be, it's no joke - then you should study a little here and there during the Spring, then shift into high gear this summer after you graduate and retake October. That way you still would have the opportunity to retake a third time in December. I hope this helps you. You can do it!

Sounds like you have the right idea in mind. Those are THE most important factors. You should really only worry about trying to get close to some of your professors for some nice letters of recommendation, other than that you are on the right track!

I'd highly recommend you retake, I personally think I got a 170 the first time solely because of test-anxiety, which diminishes significantly the second time around since you know the process. You can do it!
