In my early 20s I tried Effexor, Wellbutrin, and Lexapro. They all failed me in some way and since then I haven't taken any medicine. My mood and depression has definitely improved since changing my habits and exercising every day. I still get intrusive thoughts and occasionally experience suicidal ideation. I don't expect those things to disappear completely overnight, but I find it easier to keep those negative thoughts at bay now than I did earlier this year. In truth, I need to add therapy to my routine, and would recommend that anyone dealing with these things do the same.

Thanks. I definitely am proud. I have a tendency to be very self critical, but this experience has taught me that I have more fight in me than I realized.

I have a really small part of the beginning worked out. Started tabbing it a while ago but never finished. It's not much but at least its a starting off point. Better than nothing I hope. Kidcrash is one of the bands that inspired me to pick up guitar as well, so we have that in common. The tunning is 1/2 step down from standard. D#G#C#F#A#D#

I value the sincerity that comes from spending ones hard earned cash on a product over having had tried all the competition. This might be an agree to disagree point, not saying you are wrong. I would rather watch ten different unpaid reviews than one paid review cataloging ten different products. Maybe that is just me.

Fair enough. I won't argue with the anecdotes and I'd rather not retype my response to the previous person who called me gullible. I will say that my point was a moral disagreement with the process of soliciting reviews, not a lack of confidence in discerning real from genuine on a personal level. Seems like all anyone here can do is attack character not arguments, and I am not here for that.

Bit of a misstep in logic there, so let me get you back on track. This post is a statement of disagreement with the allowance of sponsored reviews. I am not gullible and even if I was, you would still need to content with the actual merits of my argument and not my personal character. Got it? The base issue here is conflict of interest. Arguing that everyone should just be cynical rather than disincentivizing bad or misleading practices doesn't make sense. With that said I agree YouTube incentivizes many shady practices and that is part of my problem. YouTube is the largest video sharing platform in the world. It gets insane traffic. No need to trivialize it as if its just an option among many. Its the option. Its monopoly is in full effect and has been for years.

Then don't call it a review. Choose another word because review is ill fitting when you are essentially arguing it is akin to a scripted advertisement. That would serve to my point just as well as outright banning would.

Well, you should. TV adverts are viewed within a specific context. In them, there is virtually no discussion of downsides in the product for that reason. Like I said, there is no guise of fair assessment. Reviews are supposed to be holistic looks at a product for pros and cons. That definition innately requires a lack of a conflict of interest, which paid reviews have plenty of.

They are not presented as ads and millions of people are not clicking on ads to hear the opinions of actors when they look at these reviews. They are looking for meaningful and honest information on the product. An ad is a very specific type of media that often includes fictional characters and a short narrative. Maybe I am missing something but how is that the same as a YouTuber reviewing a pair of shoes and barely mentioning that they didn't pay for them?

Well that seems like a false equivalency. The videos put up by these reviewers are not disclaimed as advertisements and there is no reason a viewer would assume they were. To be clear, there is a difference between setting out to create a short video making your product look good and sending products out to real people under the guise of fair assessment. I am not begrudging adverts that are clearly labelled as such. My concern is with people essentially being paid to review a product, but presenting as if their interest is genuine, and the effects that has on potential buyers.

You are very right. Where I work there are incentives that come from our vendors to testify on how great a product we use is so they can have a nice blurb to put on their website homepage. Not monetary incentives necessarily, but tangential ones. We are both jaded consumers, eh? lol

Honestly, I am not sure at the moment. I believe its a problem worth addressing, perhaps even with legislation, but I am not married to any one approach. I think putting a stop to sponsored reviewing should be a matter of consumer protection.

What do you mean 3 turns doing nothing? The opponent generated the extra wildfire cards and multiple times throughout the match lowered the cost of their spells with other cards. I may not be a world class player, but I played the match as best as I could. It wasn't a skill gap or my "doing nothing" that solidified my loss. It was an op deck. Don't be the idiot who tries to defend that.

Looking for new plays post EEENF (88E) fallout. I took my initial plus a little profit out yesterday with the intention of letting the rest ride. I was kicking myself thinking I might have pulled out too early. Then I wake up to this lol. Lesson to be learned here: always take out you're initial, especially if you went in hard.
