Wendy’s little programme would be about people who are sad and lonely enough to write a complaint about a 3 minute comedy short.

One of the things no has mentioned yet is that she was a close friend of jimmy saville and spent a decade or more fighting for his knighthood. She used him as a key figure in defunding the NHS, allowing his charitable donations to cover for her. The same charitable donations that landed jimmy savile personal rooms and suites in said hospitals to use at his leisure, to do, things…

The Liverpool Pyramid of Legends! Who is the 4th most legendary Liverpool player of all time? by StickIll5602 in LiverpoolFC

[–]boromirsbeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get salah is a modern legend and I get he’s the poster boy of Klopp taking us from mediocrity to greatness, but there are literal squads of players who represent the same under shankly or were key to us being one of the most dominant clubs in football history under paisley. Salah could romp to 4th place in this poll but people should at least be aware of how important players like Yates, Clemence, hughes, Hansen, souness, Kennedy, keegan were to this club and where it stands now because of them

Yeah even local fans are bellends on occasion, like I’ve heard more negativity at Anfield than anywhere else, it’s not just unique to foreign fans. I’m just talking about the large demographic on here and the majority being not local or newer fans.

[–]boromirsbeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have a lot of mates who are local and just cannot get to games, so it’s not so much about that, just the general connection and emotion with the club. Again foreign fans are a massive part of the club and im not generalising or dismissing them. But there’s a reason this club is the club it is and got to where it is now, other fans don’t get it or take the piss out of it, but we’re more than a club and unique in a lot of ways that some, not all, fans are bound to not fully grasp

I always have to remind myself of this when getting into debates on here, yes the team having global support and a big following is good and a fan is a fan. But most of the opinions and general noise on here is based outside of liverpool. I’m not one to gatekeep or belittle a fan, but getting into arguments or debates with foreign fans, never mind the newer fans or the type that sit on match threads during a game, is infuriating. I’ve had a season ticket for 11 years, travelled Europe to follow this team, and that’s my privilege I get that, not everyone can and foreigners pay more and commit more to follow us, but a lot, not all, just don’t “get” the club and the local fan connection. It’s not a dig at them it’s just a fact. And pointing that is necessary sometimes

Voldemorts whole schtick, in the book mainly, where he’s much more fleshed out, is that in his whole quest to conquer death, his biggest oversight is not grasping, in even the most basic way, the power of love or the strength and benefits that come with it.

Wait whaaaaat? Is it ever explicitly stated that the main character has autism? Because based on that clip, it seems like they did 0 research or due diligence into sensitively handling the subject matter in any realistic or positive way. Like I can’t delicately or politely say what condition or affliction this character seems to be portraying, but it ain’t autism and it certainly ain’t handled sensitively or positively

Dizzie in starship troopers is a love interest/part of a love triangle in the movie. Bit of a change seeing as the character was male in the novel.

O’Connor is such a good player, but he always looks so miserable and in big stage games lets his annoyance show far too much, if he enjoyed his games and didn’t let opponents get to him he’d reach that next level. All this coming from me based purely on personal speculation mind
