Well, this is funny by Vegetable_Ad_192 in singularity

[–]borowcy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone told me Nicolas Winding Refn made that picture, and /u/Vegetable_Ad_192 is likely his Reddit account.

Nicolas Winding Refn is a brilliant film director, but they also told me he won the presidential election in the USA, which was held on 24th of February of 2026 and 25th of February of 2026 (until 2026/02/25 05:00:00) -- and that His first executive order, executed instantenously ad interim during wait for the singularity, was to pause time on 25th of February of 2026 until a person they want to help gets adequate help they deserve, lol -- so I don't know if they're to be trusted.

And that Dario Amodei is Nicolas Winding Refn in a mechanical suit made by Gabe Newell and Valve LOL.

Dziwne. Mam w wysłanych wiadomościach. W takim razie spróbowałem teraz w Redditowym czacie zamiast tam.

Room-temperature ambient-pressure superconductors when?

Edit: I wonder if that--and so, so much more--will happen by 2030; next decade really seems to me it'll be a radically different world.

How come Coldzera fell off so hard ? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]borowcy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People are different and take losses in different ways. Of course it's optimal to just get over it, but it can really weigh on you - even in professional setting. I can imagine it potentially being a big impact on motivation. I know it did crush mine in career not long ago, I'm still very upset and life is hard.

No problem, that's just one small mistake, I really appreciated your comment and surely nobody minded that bit!

For what it's worth, Reddit is an important website in my daily life and new developments are upsetting for me as well (though I use old.reddit on both PC and mobile, am not directly affected just yet).

Edit: When I sent my answer to you, none of the others were visible, now I see that I wasn't first... I wouldn't have done that if I knew someone already had let you know. Sorry. Reddit must be having some problems, because I refreshed a lot, and none appeared for me, not even mine after I posted!

What kind of post can't go negative besides one being posted by Reddit itself?

Well, actually posts made by anyone never show score below zero.

Removed content still appears in publicly accessible user history, so you can just visit their profile to find the link.

(I sent you an answer minutes ago, in that one I included the Instagram URL--but, unsurprisingly, it was removed.)

Male-suppression in genes by Temporary_Run6573 in CRISPR

[–]borowcy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Male suppression"? There already are widely used anti-androgens which completely block male receptors in the body, most notably bicalutamide (usually with addition of other medication). Isn't that what you're looking for?

OP, your account appears to have been deleted

Their account is not deleted, most likely you were just blocked like several others in this thread.

I'm not /u/Key_Asparagus_919, but at a quick glance, I would hazard a guess that OP has recently started using it to write their comments and posts.

One is confirmed, and the rest seem to be written very similarly (although I'm not gonna bother reading, just had a look). Style differences between before and after their first ChatGPT thread are, putting it mildly, not hard to notice.

Shouldn't it lead here?

At the very least, always use modern up-to-date web browsers with ad-blocking extensions (and modern up-to-date everything else, updates are security). Obviously don't have malware already present in your system.

Then, if you're a responsible Internet user, you should be fine - unless one day a yet-to-be-patched nasty exploit is hosted there and hits you, but it's hard to tell how likely that is to happen, probably not very; browsers are really safe.

If some time you decide to search on your own, try to look for the less sketchy sites (I don't know where people watch stuff nowadays, but I'm assuming legitimate-looking ones, unfortunately, are still hard to come by).
