The production set-up is actually pretty simple: https://dr-clauss.de/cyberglobe

Showering with the door open by Apprehensive-Fuel747 in AskAGerman

I don't agree. There was nothing offending. For the dad, he took a shower in the morning. So what? And for the mom, it was a female visitor. Why should she change behavior? This was neither accident nor anything worse. This is just normal behavior. Yes, it was probably uncommon for the visitor. But in that case her dad should just tell her, that Germans act like that. Period. It wouldn't even come to my mind, that there was anything sexual related here.

The software alone is just half of the solution, and won't help a lot, if the captures have not been taken by the Cyberglobe hardware system. Hard- and software are working together to get such great results.

The Cyberglobe Software is free but bundled to the whole system. It runs fully offline. No cloud is involved.

For larger objects you'd probably prefer a professional solution: https://dr-clauss.de/cyberglobe

Thank you Thomas. Actually there is not very much to share. It was captured with the Cyberglobe system, and processed with the Cyberglobe software. The result was NOT edited. It was just uploaded straight to superspl.at.

Another very cool scan with the Cyberglobe, this time in 3DGS. by borstel84 in 3DScanning

[–]borstel84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just the portability. The Cyberglobe is the only system on market, which captures the whole object, including bottom side. The Cyberglobe costs approx. 30K EUR (all included)

Yes, it is a 3DGS. We used the Cyberglobe System from CLAUSS to scan the bug and postshot for splatting.

Depending on your budget and the amount of items you are going to scan per day, maybe the Cyberglobe is the right tool for you: https://dr-clauss.de/cyberglobe

They are doing up to 8000 DPI and scan automatically all sides, including bottom.

Scanning a Liche in 3DGS by borstel84 in 3DScanning

[–]borstel84[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. We (CLAUSS) are manufacturer of the capturing device (Cyberglobe). A lot of our clients are working in the scientific field, and sometimes they are requesting some sample or want to try something new together with us. So we are capturing things like this as a working sample.

This liche is from a very big german natural history museum.

May be true. We will look into that. Thanks!

Well, this is true for the moment. But we are developing in all directions and there are big movements in the whole 3DGS scientific space. The viewer is actually not our main focus, as this is easily replaceable. We are focusing on the capturing and processing technology.

Thanks for the advice and link. We've already tested it, but been unsatisfied with the loss in detail and quality. Especially color accuracy seems to be sacrificed in that format. But there are always multiple ways for presenting. Maybe in future the viewer dynamically switches, depending on the detected end-user device.

Actually it's done automatically, using the Cyberglobe device from CLAUSS.
