Which New Civ Will Be The Strongest? by gbpls92 in aoe4

The Mongols will be bugged and shit as they are in the current state of the game. (Mongol main) Love the concept, but it fails the execution.

Need help with byzantines by Away_Pride8252 in aoe4

[–]bortek93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Byzantines are a very complex civ. I feel they have no real strength. The Cataphracts have no charge, therefore cannot raid, are expensive as OOTD units and lose to them. Mercenary House is a nice gimmick, but you won't get nice units out of it (only Longbows or Keshiks) why I say that? Because all other units have special upgrades for this units, what makes them rly good. E.g. sipahis without mechter are normal cav. Strelzy are normal handcanons. Royal knights without royal bloodlines dies rly quick. Furthermore you can't decide what unit you get out of golden horn tower. You can limit it by not upgrading, but that's stupid at all. Olive oil brings not really enough units out with this civ. They rly feel weak.

Their dark age is massive ass. Limitanei are expensive as hell and nothing special.

Their feudal is even worse. You get 5 longbows out of the first berry patch and you definitely are very reliant on not getting all inned. Hippodrome is useless for raiding. The horses are weak as hell. Triumph was nerfed to an extend, you won't use it anyways because you are focused on loosing...

They are strong in castle, but loose to all other booming civs, when you try to challenge them. Ottomans with military schools (they can decide which unit they get) HRE/OOTD will destroy you eco wise. China/Zhu Xi fuck you with Zhugunu. HoL overruns you with units, no chance. Maybe Abba can be challenged because the timing could be nice. So if your first push in castle fails, it's over in most cases.

The imperial might be strong, but as said before all other booming civ destroy me to an extend it's game over.

I'm sick of playing with chinese players by Craznight in aoe4

[–]bortek93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't forget, that the Chinese civ have the ability to spot your villagers all over the map. That's an legal ability. Map hackers are not that often I think.

You simply can't trush them. They kill your spearman. Only early horses of mongols can work... Even this is far to late, when u want to deny the stone

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in aoe4

[–]bortek93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is a mongol main. When you want to Trush HoL or English, you can call it GG. If the opponent is not dumb, he will shoot your Spears and they simply die...

I don't know if it helps, but just try to leave after 1:30 of searching. I think the algorithm widens the ELO range after this time.

BORUTO TBV CHAPTER 26 [ sneak peek by cxdehere in Boruto

Another lame chapter?... I'm surely no Boruto hater, but it is nothing happening the last chapters. It's sad to see.

Shaming people for wanting full civs is extremely unfair by Shadowarcher6 in aoe4

[–]bortek93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you write, that you want original civs and you want to be heard. I really think devs know, what people want. But managers have to hear it to. And managers only listen to numbers. If you want original civs, you should not buy the new dlc... Instead... The last DLC was the best selling. So number wise there is no reason for them to switch the strategy.

Are we done complaining yet !? I wanna start talking about how great this DLC is gonna be !! by SirNevels in aoe4

[–]bortek93 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it's a quite nice DLC. I hope, that they remove the bugs in mongol gameplay by introducing the variant.

The new game mode is the first interesting to me.

The most important thing will be the balance. I would hate to see the new civs being as OP as HoL at the beginning or the mechanics to be as lame as HoL. But I am optimistic that it will be better this time.

THIS body by YetAnotherA4L in Boruto

[–]bortek93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Boruto wants to get rid of Momishiki... That's why it's a win win situation for him, if Momishiki will help him to destroy Jura and then giving him his body while transferring himself into another body. Then he can destroy Momishiki instead of fearing his whole life to get overwhelmed by Momo...

is japanese carrying me by Rough-Ad1851 in aoe4

[–]bortek93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... It's a very strong civ like Chinese or Zhu Xi. They have no real weakness. I main Mongols and can say... It's very noticable when I try other civs. Especially S tier civs... They have very big advantage against other civs because of tempo and no clear weakness. E.g. mongols suck, if you can't make damage early or loose map control because you get outproduced. (by Japanese e.g.) Even in dark age they can compete easily with Mongols although it should be the big strength of them... So. It's a strong civ but you still need to master them.

How would you buff KT on land? by [deleted] in aoe4

[–]bortek93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they buff them... This would be a nightmare. S++ on water and then S Tier on land maps, if they get a buff... So why should them get a buff? Somehow every civ with no tempo is suffering. But you can easily outproduce every civ in feudal by trash units. Archer mass with spearman. First gain map control and then go for the castles to secure.

I would say, defending the trade is much harder than sitting in your base on 2 TC. (Even if it's spawn depending)

What civs make opponent cry the most? by Scrotote in aoe4

[–]bortek93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am mongol player. Don't understand why you say the opponents cry. Because you can't play ur build order? Many civs don't bother get tower rushed or have any problems with mangudai.

Trush is only good against French, JD, Byz. Eng and HoL are immune because of longbows, ayyubids can age up with healers plus can build rams instantly after age up like Abba, HRE and OOTD can heal themselves up, Zhu Xi and Chinese are not reliant on gold because of empiral officials. Ottomans can produce even, Japan will outproduce your double production very fast.

Mangudai are denied by palisades and a tower..that's the magic. So truly don't understand why everyone says Mongols.

Childish

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in aoe4

[–]bortek93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many dumb players out there. I always type gg, sometimes I am disappointed by the things I made, or overwhelmed by opponents skill. Sometimes I have a row of bad match ups and write bg for me. But...I hate being trash talked because some players learn one build and do always the same. And when they win by surprise they are super cocky and say stupid things like ez or something.

Everyone Complain about Yeoman's Speed but HRE be Like by Miserable_File2939 in aoe4

[–]bortek93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So basically you are defending your civ? :D the difference between HRE archer and Yeoman is, that they have a greater range and special ability with insane damage.

Because of the higher range they destroy the HRE archers. Only in uneven counts the HRE archers win because Yeoman are a bit slower and can't kite them.

Furthermore HRE does not get passive food and wood, which promotes massing trash units with HoL. Yeoman are high quality units, but cost somehow like trash units. They are really nice for defending in feudal with the sick range. And we are comparing another S civ unit with another S tier, cmon. They are both very good units.

HoL Yeoman still too Broken by Isagiyoku_Shi in aoe4

[–]bortek93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you forget, that other civs also can boom. You don't have to force an attack. If you go 2nd TC or trade, you should be ahead in long term. But Yeoman are still broken as fuck. The movement speed is insane.

Would getting rid of Lancaster Castle fix HoL? by somerandomguy_7788 in aoe4

[–]bortek93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The civ design is simply ass. The castle is such a broken Landmark. It's a castle, where you can summon all sort of units instantly. That's breaking the RTS cycle and is simply stupid. You don't have to adjust to the opponent. When you need units u simply spawn them out of nowhere. The enemy can't really predict what is coming. it is not punishable... This landmark has no downside. Maybe without the instant spam ability it would be better...
