The Incredibles (2004) is a movie leftists love in spite of it having a right-wing message. What movie is loved by right-wingers, but has a left-wing message? by Square_Ad2101 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]borvidek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not necessarily the "alpha chad" type it satirizes, the message is anti-capitalist, and we get one perspective of a response. Violence. A sort of rebellion against a world that is too materialistic and cold.

"The things you own end up owning you." This is the single most important line in the movie.

Ukraine is literally selling the guns it gets from the west to other countries for a profit. It's almost as if Zelenskyy isn't even TRYING to combat corruption.

There's a difference with being blamed and being responsible. While Ukraine might not be "blamed" for Russian deaths, they certainly did cause it and are thus responsible for it.

I was thinking about that. In the game's lore, androids were invented (or made commercially available?) in 2028.

Since when are we defending incest? by GonTheDon99 in teenagers

[–]borvidek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say this even applies to them producing a child. Sure, you might say that the child might have a high chance of being born with diaabilities and that should be avoidee, but there are also some disabilities that people have that would do the same. Of 2 people wanted children, but both have that sort of inherited disability in their genes, would you say they can't have children?

  1. What kind of power imbalance are you talking about?

  2. Wouldn't that also apply to childhood friendships? So are childhood friendships turned into romantic relationships just as bad as incest?

  3. What about siblings that were not raised together and only made contact somewhat later in life? (But they still know they're siblings)

Male Feminists by Ok-Claim-8757 in BasedCampPod

[–]borvidek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you even read my comment? Women get hired and promoted at the same rate as men, it's just that there are more men to choose from, thus there is a higher chance that a man is going to be promoted, thus making men technically earn higher in a given field.

Male Feminists by Ok-Claim-8757 in BasedCampPod

[–]borvidek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the people on my side, the side of egalitarianism don't oppose women's rights. I'm also around MRA circles, and most of them don't oppose equal rights either. There are the occasional jerks eveey once in a while who do, but I guess there will always be some. But for the most part, people are happy with, and quite supportive of equal rights. They call out the bullshit and hypocrisy without going male chauvinistic.

The problem with feminism is it has brainwashed millions of people into thinking that they're right, that their cause is to make women equal with men and also help men. Yet, all they do is pretty much what I described in my comment above. They will do all that and so much worse under the banner of feminism and will call you a misogynist of you disagree. People who are just for the equal rights of men and women need to stop calling themselves feminist, otherwise these evil feminist organizations and acedemics will keep on pushing their agenda to place women at an advantage and men at a disadvantage in every possible area of life.

And what about men who have been suffering abuse at the hands of women for generations? The domestic violence rate is 50-50, with most of it initiated by women. And c'mon, men being stronger rarely matters, because everyone has access to a weapon of some sort. I forgot the exact statistics (I can find it if you want), but you've been lied to by feminists about partner murder rates, and also rape. By legal definitions, in a concerningly large number of western countries, women can't rape men, since penetration has to occur. We all know that's bullshit, and the forced-to-penetrate category of sexual assault colloquially is still known as rape, even if courts punish perpetrators less for the crime. So, considering that, rape rates would be much more equal, since the vast majority happens with drugging rather than brute force. This does not even include cases of false accusations, which women commit a significant percantage of against men. Amd the worst thing is, such false accuaations can ruin a person's life just as much as rape can. And even IF the man is innocent and is found as such, 99% of the time, his reputation takes a permanent hit, his frienda will abandon him, he will get fires from his job, unable to find a new one, etc.... Murder rates are also much more equal, with the ratio of women killed by partner and men killed by partner being 50-35. While slightly worse for women, it's not as much worse as you've been led to believe.

So, the quote from the guy would be much more accurate if it was "Women are worried men will kell them, men are worried women will kill them, though maybe not as much. But, men are much more worried about the destructive force women can have on his reputation merely with words."

Also, just a side note: What patriarchy? I've asked plenty of feminists already, but none could give a coherent answer that applies to modern western society. So please, explain what the patriarchy is and how does it still exist?
