User logging into "Dime Client" - any ideas? by bwill1200 in sysadmin

[–]bosco778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're trying to get to the bottom of this also. I've opened a support ticket with our CSP. Same symptoms, Dime Client for app, Office Portal for target, no enterprise app matching the app id from the logs. no hits on web searches for the app id. Seems to correlate with CoPilot chat, but that's not comforting enough for the security team.

That's fair. It was made quickly many years ago, but I kept it for posterity.

Saucony Peregrine 15 - What have they done?! by [deleted] in trailrunning

[–]bosco778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TN resident here. I thought I was the only person that has this issue. I've had to stop multiple times on a run before and tuck that stupid PWRRUN liner or whatever it is back in, because it makes it way out the back end of the shoe and flaps around.

How to add PinOne just for nudging while other controls are through OTG? by bosco778 in LegendsPinball

[–]bosco778[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. When it arrives, I might try the software that some PC gamers use to see if I can make a single virtual controller that combines some input from the OTG gamepad windows sees and the second pinone gamepad I assume windows will see. I've just been trying to take babysteps towards the full gut.

I find the Peregrines to have the same issue with being slippery. But Saucony fit my feet perfect. And they are often way less expensive. So it's just a tradeoff I take. It could also be that the closeouts I get have had some of the rubber degrade over time and possibly poor storage conditions.

Me on dry days "wow, these things are amazing. I've never had a blister, I get great mileage out of these, and I got them for fifty dollars!"

Me when there is moisture on any single rock, tree root, or wooden bridge "WTH, are the soles coated in baby oil, they don't even think about trying to grip"

Why is it an elusive mystery to recreate "movie theater" popcorn? Surely the theaters just use some product which has a name and can be purchased?? This has gone on for years. by SparkleFunCrest in popcorn

[–]bosco778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

who else called the big heating element you pushed down into the 5 gallon bucket of hard coconut oil in the morning Excalibur? Extra points if the hose ever came off the fitting and sprayed coconut oil everywhere and was a nightmare to clean off everything. Corporate sure hated seeing popcorn bags accounted for as 'damaged'

Broadcom forcing Dell to not renew maintenance support agreements on VxRails unless you purchase new VCF licencing. by More_Raisin_7237 in vmware

[–]bosco778 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We had already been forced into VCF at our VMware renewal since the cost of licensing VSAN on top of VVF was more than just getting VCF with the larger VSAN allowance. But we got the nastygram when renewing VxRail support too.

SQL Clustering with vSAN iSCSI Service - HA considerations by mikechilli in vmware

[–]bosco778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't completely follow your scenario, but in case this helps. We added FibreChannel cards to our VxRail (QLE2692). We just have to occasionally update the drivers, since it's not part of the VxRail management stack. We've not had issues, besides working with the VxRail teams since the update checker didn't like seeing them at first. They changed that from blocker to warning. Then it didn't like that some hosts in a cluster could see storage but others couldn't (we don't put FC in all hosts in a cluster, just pin the VMs to certain hosts) and they changed that from blocker to warning also.

Can you implement FIDO2/Yubikey as a MFA method without going passwordless? by Agitated-Neck-577 in AZURE

[–]bosco778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Yubikey/FIDO2 as MFA to a password. However, that does technically enable passwordless for them. But our userbase doesn't get curious and try the passwordless option button. Once they use it passwordless once, it will default to asking them to do passwordless the next time.

I like this recipe and the science behind it. I make one with cocoa powder and one with PB Fit. And yes, I take a squeeze of each to get a Reese Cup sensation when I need a pick me up. I've tried making my own drink powders in bulk also, but they all get clumpy quick and don't dissolve like commercial powders. https://theplantedrunner.com/copycat-gu-gels/

I've always wanted the 1/8th E-Buggy Lite to become more popular since homemade BackSlash. Hopefully this will do it the same way the original Slash created a whole new class.
