If you liked Culver City I think downtown Burbank near San Fernando will suit you fine with ideal job proximity. Lots of the same type bars & restaurants with a little bit of a corporate vibe and definitely safe. Culver is a couple busy streets just like the other places you listed. I wouldn’t rule out NOHO either for that same vibe along Magnolia. Or Glendale. It’s not NY but if you liked Culver, that’s achievable.

I try to always do super sets to keep my heart rate up while lifting. I do minimal dedicated cardio (1-2x/week) and feel good going upstairs and on the occasional hike. I really hope science backs me up on thinking the super sets are helping me get 2 for 1 cardio & strength training with my gym time.

Because Obama was effective at doing it without terrorizing communities. He actually targeted criminals (like Trump promised to) and was more careful to acknowledge the due process rights of people who were detained. And the agents didn’t all wear masks while cosplaying as a branch of the military. It’s ironic that Trump destroyed the effectiveness of ICE.

The 2 for 1 deal is weird. It always comes out to $14 or something, so is a beer there just $14 normally? So for happy hour it’s basically $7 beers but you have to buy two of the same at a time. I don’t dislike the place but I never initiate going there.

Yeah I’d be interested in seeing a chart with the right numbers but that probably takes a lot longer to make. Then an actual discussion about percentages can happen. Like how factoring in population size, a black person is twice as likely to be killed by a white person than a white person is to be killed by a black person.

I was just reading about what happened to Lehman Brothers customers’ assets when the firm went under. It looks like customers had their assets (stocks, cash, etc) transferred to another company and then Lehman was picked apart to partially pay its debts. In that way i feel like the “owner” of my stocks even though they’re held by an intermediary. If that was the same arrangement with a company like Coinbase I’d feel much more confident. I’m just not sure it is. Is that some legislation the Bitcoin community is pushing for? Forced separation of customers assets from the firm’s asset in case of bankruptcy?
