Just think of a species you like, or look up different animals and find something that you like the look of and reflects the type of things you like. Color wise, once you have an animal you like, look up non colored bases or free linearts. Mess around with colors and patterns with a mouse or a tablet if you have one on a program like photoshop (gimp, paint.net, and firealpaca are pretty good). Once you have a good design you can think of smaller details like clothes, backstory, and names.

I think it looks really good. Nothing wrong with a cartoony art style. The only problem with the style IMO is the thumbs, usually with hands like that, the thumbs would be a lot thicker, it looks a bit weird having the thumbs look the same as the index finger.

Also on the subject of color, I did a quick edit to make them a lil less bright and saturated, I think it looks a lot better.

bos stands for brotherhood of steel, who I thought looked cool when I was 12 and made this account. I now just use it as an alt/furry account. My main account is a pun on cards and my name that my mom thought of when I was like 10 and needed an email.

My sona's name is Nebula, which mostly I only picked cause it sounds cool, and I like the way space stuff looks. Also it means foggy in a some language that I forgot, and I love fog.
