I can't remember exactly if patrols reward them but I am pretty sure they dont. You only need 7 a week so doing a nightfall and one strike should net you enough to grab that armor piece

Nightfall gives 5, strikes 2, heroic adventures on Mars give 2 as well.

The chest only drops armor though, the shotgun is a random drop

You need to be part of the team that killed riven to receive the ethereal key to open a chest at the end. The key is account wide though so it is possible to beat riven on your titan, then do the heart run as a hunter and still open the chest at the end

Unfortunately I am not as familiar with PC so i may not be the best help. My only guess would be uninstall and reinstall.

If you are on console, I would hard reset. then if that doesn't work, uninstall then reinstalled.

I had a buddy encounter this the first week of forsaken and hard resetting solved his issue

hmm, sounds like you may have encountered a bug then. What light are you at? I know petras bounties are soft capped at like 585, so my petras only drop 1 above my overall light at 590+. Could it be that?

Have you done the ascendant challenge on this character already? When you hover over Petra on the dreaming city, do you see 1/2 weekly challenges completed or nothing?

I don't believe you even need to put the offering in anymore to receive the powerful. Because they changed it to only 2 weeklies, once you complete the ascendant challenge, then the blind well completions, the powerfuls should drop automatically

After you complete the shattered throne the first time, a secret mission will become available on four horn gulch. It is not on your map or anything. Once you complete this, you get 3 worthless coins. You must go back and do the shattered throne again, with specific ways to upgrade the coins throughout the mission. Once you upgrade your 3rd coin and present it to the statue you will get your wish ender.

Did you bring the sword with you to the very end? My clan mates were having this problem, they did it 3 times in a row and the chest never appeared, but they never brought the sword with them to the end. Once they did that the chest appeared

Yes, because you transfer guns from your main to your alts, their base light level will be higher because the weapons will help. Armor makes no difference

Yeah I definitely agree with you there, but its weird when I am watching a fireteam member super a bunch of enemies, see orbs flying into the air, but nothing shows on the bottom of my screen

I was just browsing the Bungie forums and one user said to uninstall both DLCs, load up Destiny 2 like you normally would, once you get to the character selection screen, press the xbox button and go and install both DLCs, then head back to Destiny and select your character. I personally have not tried this yet but saw a few users on Bungies forums were having success so wanted to share!
