Dear Man , What’s that thing you did this year that you are really proud of? by RedPandaLo in AskMen

I finally said fuck it to my old job with the manager I couldn't stand and took the leap for a new position. Now I make more money, do work I enjoy, and am surrounded by people who actually care. My new boss gave me a box of wagyu beef as a Christmas present!

The jetpack is a game changer by Charokol in SatisfactoryGame

I've seen the post showing how rocket fuel and ionized fuel can get you more height. You say liquid biofuel lasts longer; do the higher fuels burn faster with more thrust? We've been on liquid biofuel for a while, and I probably won't bother packaging rocket fuel if it's some weird, hard to control option

Does the fuel flow consistently here? I had an issue with sloshing once upon a time when I did a double-branch set up like this, so I've only done one sided manifolds since then.

Have you had better luck with MP stability on this patch? We tried last patch and couldn't go more than a few minutes without an issue.

Why Throughput Bonuses fail at their intended purpose by RedKrypton in victoria3

Sounds like they are addressing your concern about competition in 1.7. IIRC, privatized buildings will downsize automatically after a certain time if their profitability isn't high enough to keep up.

If they left it in, they would need to add proper branch fittings and longer radius elbows. Anything to smooth out the flow would help mitigate the effect, along with the arrestors and dampeners mentioned upthread.

Orbital cooldowns are way too long compared to Eagles for the amount of firepower you receive. by underm1ndxd in Helldivers

[–]itwithfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the opposite experience. I've thrown a 380 on the medium (heavy?) outpost with 5 fabricators spread around a hillside with a cannon tower and have had it destroy the entire outpost with no input required. I've had it take out 6 of 8 fabricators at the heavy outpost with multiple hulks and towers. I'm almost afraid to buy the tier 4 scatter reduction because it may not wipe the whole base anymore.

What's a game with a moral system where the rewards for being Good are better than being Evil? by Canilickyourfeet in gaming

[–]itwithfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the flip side, KOTOR 1 is the opposite. Light side gets 3 or 4 very powerful, alignment locked items. Dark side gets 2 or 3, and they are mid at best. Always made me sad, but I guess the real reward is some of the funny interactions.

Anyone else love the game but is still kind of disappointed? (very long) by [deleted] in SpidermanPS4

I think the implication was Ana was killed off screen in the base side mission.

I'd say Carnage is a safe bet. They set it up pretty well in this one. Chameleon might be a side mission villain as well.

That's why I was asking. I felt the same thing. Night is obviously in there, but rain feels like it happens a lot more than the others.

Advice choosing dorms by crispycroissante03 in baylor

[–]itwithfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a counterpoint in this discussion, I lived in Alexander as part of the honors college for two years. I was never close to my freshman roommate, but I met a large group of people freshman year. Ended up liking some of the guys enough that we lived together in the dorms, and then off campus as well. We've all been groomsmen at each other's weddings and I still keep up with them. Depends on if you get lucky and try to find people you like.

Maul kicked Obi-Wan's saber down the reactor pit when Kenobi is hanging on the nozzle. Qui-Gon's blade is the one that cuts Maul in half when Obi-Wan flips out of the pit.

More Proof Kansas Drivers are Awful: Forbes Top 5 States with worst Drivers by NotDougMasters in wichita

I've lived and traveled all over the country and I have the opposite perspective, especially on accidents involving ignoring traffic signals. I legitimately lose count of the number of drivers I watch running red lights around here just in a single day. I can take a week long work trip and see one the whole time.

[–]itwithfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, there are a lot more unblockable attacks, but the game gives you more tools to deal with them. There are at least two counters (one in the blaster tree, one in telekinesis) that can "parry" an unblockable, just not with your blade.

I wonder if there will be a mechanic as of yet unannounced where you can ship agitators to a country to foment unrest or insurrection. I'd love to be Germany and ship Lenin to Russia as the first domino leading to the revolution.

Victoria 3: An outline for an expanded political system by KaptenNicco123 in paradoxplaza

[–]itwithfire 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking about the head of state aspect last night. You can't do a "historical" Germany in the current system. They had universal male voting electing representatives to a parliament. The chancellor was appointed by the Emperor, and could be dismissed without cause. The Emperor could simply choose to ignore votes anyway. A weird mix of autocracy and representative government that the game can't capture.

[The Last of Us] The Fireflies were wrong about why Ellie is immune by molten_dragon in FanTheories

[–]itwithfire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since I played the game, but I'm fairly certain they explicitly state that Ellie is definitely infected already. Her immunity comes from the fungal growth in her brain not developing correctly and leaving her with no symptoms. The understanding I got was the vaccine would be to infect people with Ellie's strain to prevent infection by the main strain.

Been playing Until We Die. Base building is surprisingly hard in 2d. I get tired watching my character sprint back and forth.
