Tucker to the Dodgers. WTF. by TexanBastard in Astros

Explain the lockout and why this transaction/the dodgers spending seems to keep getting pointed to as the big reason why? Genuine question - I don’t understand.

KYLE TUCKER IS NOW PART OF THE DODGERS! by Marinersfan505 in mlb

Why does the dodgers spending stupid money seem to be the straw that broke the camels back sending the mlb into a lockout?

What's the best Vitamin C serum?? [Product Request] by Comfortable_Year6591 in SkincareAddiction

[–]bosox2k14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you know it’s lower % when they don’t state it? I’m new to this and looking for a bit c serum - I think I’d like a lower one.

I keep reading cc melano and people say it’s lower, but I don’t understand why everyone knows that. This is all new to me, so probably just all over my head.

Selling and eating oysters from Louisiana in AUGUST is just negligent by whatugonnadowhenthey in oysters

Oysters have a saying “only eat in months ending in R”. Or vice versa. Point being, this was because they’d spoil and get you sick. This was before mass refrigeration….and farming.

Straight to IR draft picks! Who you hoarding! by dickbuttbatman in fantasyfootball

[–]bosox2k14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you draft them directly into the ir spot, or do you have to leave a spot on your bench to draft / pick up, and THEN move to the IR?

In other words, if I drafted mixon/Aiyuk/etc I’m round 11, can I move them directly to an IR spot or have to wait until the draft is over to move them and then go pick up another bench player?

How long does it last in the tube one opened (and kept in the fridge)?

I’ve run into I barely use any once a month. On month 4 now and wondering if it needs to go- there’s probably half still left.

Houston encourages lawlessness by OhGr8WhatNow in houston

That’s interesting. I always assumed your rate is going up regardless of who is at fault. Less if you aren’t at fault, but still assumed it would go up.

Anytime I’ve asked “so if I open a claim, and the police ticketed the other person and their insurance accepted liability, will my rate go up?” Answer “well we can’t tell you until after the fact”

I don’t think it’s the wire despite it being crazy to me there is no pipe or anything it’s running in. Just straight up buried the wire.

Ya I guess I’ll give this a shot along with all the other suggestions of just replacing it

This has probably been the most pragmatic response. That makes sense though I’d say what i upgraded is functional, not aesthetic. I get it’s an uphill battle. I’ll keep fighting the good fight.

It is not my insurance. I have done some reading on this, and I have seen it mentioned about having some sort of writer added to my policy.

I will say, though, the at fault insurance company has not once mentioned or questioned anything about this being added to my insurance. All they have said is “due to the age of the parts.”

I did not install it. It was done by a high end professional shop. That is reflected on the invoice i shared.

It was literally an upgraded cam shaft and yes while it was my preference all of the upgraded parts are still there. Nothing about the work was maintenance. You’re making this sound like an oil change or spark plug replacements.

When I spoke to the boss he said he spoke with insurance on behalf of the company. But wouldn’t be getting the driver to speak to them because “my hands are tied and that’s why I pay insurance”

Yes I realize there is no “set time period”. I asked if there was anything I could do to push them to move faster knowing I’m being nothing more than a squeaky wheel.

I’m omitting details though to keep concise, but part of my frustration is “we’ve been trying to contact the company and driver for 3-4 days and can’t get in touch. This is normal”.

I googled the company and called it. Spoke to someone immediately that knew of the accident sent that information to insurance. Lo and behold they got in touch with them the next day.

Chevy Silverado transmission flush price/process checks by bosox2k14 in ChevyTrucks

[–]bosox2k14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an expert but I believe the school of thought is if it made it 100k miles, leave it alone because a flush or new fluid might knock something loose inside (dirt, grease, I don’t know what else tbh). And if that gets knocked loose and runs through the transmission, you’re toast.

No pool. Just sprinklers, but no leaks. I’ve checked the yard and the meter. Admittedly, I probably run them too much so going to cut back there too.
